pretty cool.. but you need to sew a straight hem to the bottom and cuffs and you'd have a better look for the actual disguise... this should have been the route sideshow went instead of german disguise Indy... so much more potential.. could have had a medallion, wooden staff, notebook, and transit as accessories.. the maproom small brush could have been the exclusive piece,, too bad....

Yeah, I've never been a hardcore "movie accurate" guy though, as I'd just imagine driving myself crazy :google. I leave that to the Indy experts, such as yourself, Mike :bow.

As for Map Room Indy V. German Indy I couldn't agree more. SS could have given us the same shoes, pants, belt and shirt on the same pro body from the initial release with the same sculpt (though it is slightly big) intended for German Indy with a robe and turban and all the accessories you mentioned and it would have been a thousand times more successful then German Indy, who can be bashed quite easily...... I'm imagining a stand as the EX though, sculpted to look like a small section of the map room floor, no bigger then a normal stand, but with a hole to put the staff into. How cool would that be???

Please stop, you're just making me depressed :(

Sorry, I guess I'll always dream of more Indy and better Indy...

It's alright, I'm still hanging onto a fools hope that the KOTCS Indy is not the end of the line, and we'll get a sideshow version of this guy eventually. How's that for depression? :lol

That German Indy head really looks great with the map room outfit. Hem that robe and it'll be as good as what Sideshow would offer.

Hey all,

I finally finished my custom Map Room Indy. For the headpiece I used the medallion that came with the Hasbro Marion action figure. I know it's oversized but it works. The turban, robe, sash, etc. is from a seller on Ebay. The rest is Sideshow and Hasbro parts.

Looks good bmarz1000. That medallion looks fantastic, good size for me, Where can I get one for my maproom Indy? I saw one of the medicom Indy but is a steal for that price.

It comes with the Hasbro 3 3/4 Marion Ravenwood action figure. I glued it to the top of a wire-nut and painted it gold. For the crystal I used a stick-on "jewel" from my Daughter's Disney Princess decorative nail set! The wire-nut has threads on the inside which helps attach it to a wooden dowel (which I've stained). I like the Medicom one as well, but not for the money people are asking.

Yeah, thanks, bmarz1000. I'll have to track down a Marion. Is there a website that lists which artifact came with which figure? I'll have to do a search...

:lol I looked for the medalion that came with Marion in the box that I keep all my 3 3/4" Indy figs in but couldn't find it... then I realized that I never bought the single Marion figure but the Cairo Thug/Marion 2-pack....

BTW, looks great, Brady!
