I think you've got it backwards. Beckham did something very right to get as big as he is today. Thats like saying Michael Jordan sucked and Kobe Bryant is what you are wanting a sculpt of

I guess you never did watch 'soccer', but considering you are in the US its not your fault... the names I mentioned have won and have been considered to be the greatest ever players in the history of the game. Sadly Beckham has never been considered or even argued to be the best player in any year let alone in the history of the game.

His club honours as well as individual honours are next to NOTHING to these guys. and many more I mentioned. But Beckham did change one thing...

He showed the world how a player who is maybe NOT so skilled on the pitch can literally be marketed beyond the limits of how he plays the game. Beckham was drafted into Real Madrid because the number of shirts he sold when he switched clubs was off the charts.

Beckham hit the limelight first as a young teen who was dating one of the Spice girls. He has performed from time to time... but never in the league of any of these guys. England and ManU had far better performers than him when he was in the team like Paul Scholes and Ruan Giggs who are STILL playing for their Club (showing how indespensable they are to their club) beckham was sold at a price, because he was replaceable and he was replaced by a better player, Christiano Ronaldo. Another footballer who is currently the model/marketable footballer, only difference with beckham is that he is a fantastic player and considered the worlds best along with Messi

The fact you compared him to Michael Jordan is testament to how grossly his image works, specially in the states and in far east asia. Remember in soccer, the greatest players never meant they were the most marketable ones. Have you seen any of the Brazilian legends? If they put their pics up to sell something they would sell zilch.

Michael Jordan to basketball is what Pele/Maradona is to Football (Soccer for you) Beckham is more like a Basketball player from high school compared to them

I never say this, but maybe a little Wiki can tell you about what he has accomplished and what he hasnt. What he has is pretty small compared to the giants of the game I mentioned.

And Ryant, for some constructive criticism. The nose is a little too sharp maybe... also David's cheek lines are a little pronounced. You can maybe tone them down a little as he looks a little what can I say... too old? Or else you have done a very good job

Hate bekham for the reasons you stated and he is nothing more than a posterboy who married an annorexic to talent tramp.

Saying that he still has the "celebrity" to cause me to check this thread and the sculpt is very good.
