I just got an Express Update email from Sideshow stating that they now have 1 more Desert Sands Sandtrooper in stock. I dont get it. How the hell does one just suddenly appear in stock?!?!

I was out in southwest Utah visiting family...really amazing landscapes there...just beautiful.
Yeah, next trip, I'll pack a Tusken...there are some really cool spots out there for those guys...
In the meantime...I'm pleased with how this series of shots came out....great environments, great figure....
I'm heading back out there this summer....maybe I'll pick up the Dewback before then and get some shots of it there with this trooper.
I am looking forward to the Snow Trooper...got some cool places closer to home to get some shots as long as the snow holds out...c'mon Sideshow...let's have some Hoth!

Probably a return or the one they used to take pictures for the product page. When I clicked it said "Checking Inventory."
Yeah, I'm guessing that won't update until they open for business tomorrow, which sucks because that will be at like 3am where I live. I want that sucker, too!

Obviously I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think so. I happened to have my email open when that sideshow update popped up in my inbox. I clicked on the sandtrooper IMMEDIATELY and it already said checking inventory. So if it already sold, someone must have managed to complete the ordering process inside of about 30 seconds....

yeah i'm with all ya'll. i need one of these pretty bad as well. i've been sitting on my new dewie for awhile but with no trooper to ride it, it looks rather boring on my display. the ones listed on ebay are ridiculous, would never pay those absurd prices.
Well, it's gone! Someone got it. I couldn't be bothered waiting up until 3 am my local time for Sideshow to open for business! I'm a working man.
Anyway, a local shop here has got a Medi Sandtrooper and it's a bit pricier than the SSC one but it's brand new and it's available so I was thinking of getting it. Can anybody give some thoughts on this piece?

It's the Sideshow G.I. Joe Desert Weapons Cache. Works great for Tatooine AND Streets of Cairo!

I think most of SS's environments were designed to be multi-purpose. Their "Recovery at Serpent Temple" is much more Indy than G.I. Joe in my opinion.

That IS a very good match for Indy!
The snake is cool too, but you'd never find Indy standing over one like that.
