The Bf-109 (also known as Me-109) is a single-seat, single-engine, single-wing, all-metal piston fighter aircraft developed by Germany. It was one of the most outstanding light fighters with comprehensive performance during World War II. Designed by Messerschmitt, it adopted the most advanced aerodynamic shape, retractable landing gear, and closed canopy at that time, and entered service in 1936. Later, the Bf-109 was derived multiple models and fulfilled various tasks, becoming the backbone of the Luftwaffe’s fighter force during World War II. At the same time, it was also the fighter with the largest production quantity and was flown by most air combat aces during World War II.

DID glad to bring you the 1/6 reproduction of the cockpit of the Bf-109, available in two versions: grey-blue (E60065B) and sand (E60065Y). The cockpit is made from plastic and metal and features exquisite details of the interior. It includes multiple flight instruments that display various parameters of the aircraft’s motion and have precise scales. The cockpit also has a flexible joystick for maneuvering in all directions, foot pedals for controlling the aircraft’s speed, and various accessories necessary for the cockpit.

The cockpit is also equipped with lighting effects to simulate the real lighting conditions inside the cabin. In addition, the details of the seat belt have been realistically restored! Being in it feels like being there in person.

The grey-blue version features Mickey Mouse holding a cigar, which is the symbol of the ace pilot Adolf Galland, while the sand version can be paired with Hans-Joachim Marseille, the Star of Africa, previously released.

In addition, it comes with an EVA base that makes it easy to place the cockpit securely.

The newly crafted 1/6 Bf-109 cockpit is exquisitely made. It perfectly replicates the real details of the interior of the cockpit, making you feel as if you are really there. You can use the cockpit to recreate realistic scenarios of World War II air combat and have more fun with your ace pilots. Let’s take them to fight in the air!

PS: The action figures that are shown in the images are NOT included in E60065BY.

Freakin' wonderful!!!

I'll be pre-ordering both versions. I truly hope that DiD continues with their WWII Aviators line of figures and fighter cockpits.

George Preddy - P-51D Mustang
Richard Bong - P-38 Lightning
Johnny Johnson and/or Douglas Bader - Spitfire
Ivan Kozhedub - La-5FN
David McCampbell - F6F-5 Hellcat
Francis S. "Gabby" Gabreski - P47 Thunderbolt
Pappy Boyington - F4U Corsair

And why stop there?

Wilbur and Orville Wright - Wright Flyer
Chuck Yeager - X1
Charles Lindbergh - Ryan "The Spirit of St. Louis"
Amelia Earhart - Lockheed Vega
Joseph M. McConnell - F-86 Sabre
Manfred von Richthofen - Fokker Dr.I triplane
Eddie Rickenbacker - SPAD XIII

AND...

Apollo 11 Lunar Module for DiD's Armstrong and Aldrin figures!

I can see myself really getting carried away with these aircraft fuselage displays. Although not the same model of the Bf-109, I'm already thinking of the need for a second "Galland" fuselage to display with my Erich Hartmann figure... (repainted, of course.)

$439.99 on Giantoy.

Just as well that these cockpits don't do much for me, and that I'm more interested in figures!

I happened to see this on Giantoy and knew there’d be an Asta-authored thread here for it :lol

Not huge into the military/historical military stuff but always appreciate seeing what’s being made… this is a whole new level of sweetness though, wow

An incredible diorama piece! :thud:I have pilot figure in mind that could work with it, even if the fuselage/cockpit is from an older era of aviation.

The Bf109 is designed with a shoulder-and-waist composite seat belt to ensure the pilot is securely fastened inside the cockpit during flight. We have recreated the details of the seatbelt in the one sixth scale Bf109 cockpit. And today we are going to take a look at how to fasten the seat belt of the cockpit. Let’s check it out.

That is pretty impressive. I still haven't pulled the trigger yet on it but I definitely would like to add both to the collection.

I may just order the "Galland" version and then once in hand, decide if I need the "Marseille" version.

I've seem some pretty high detailed "paper craft" models before. Honestly, my thinking is they could have built a "kit" with mostly paper craft. You need some essentials in the cockpit, and a clamshell for the front section with the guns and propeller, and likely a frame system made of something a little sturdier, but I'm thinking a lot of this could have been done in "papercraft" to get it into 1/6th scale. But maybe that would have still been too costly.

But again, space is an issue. And even a papercraft version would still be pretty expensive.

Interesting though, really cool item. Just some thoughts.
