Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

This still has not been answered? From the BCS site Quote "Signature Edition Priority Pre-order will commence from 6.00 pm on Thursday 11th July 2013, a full 24 hours ahead of the Limited Edition Priority Pre-order, which will commence from 6.00 pm on Friday 12th July 2013. Standard Pre-order will commence 24 hours later on Saturday 13th July 2013."

This seems to sugest there are 3 versions? Signature/Limited/Standard so as above what is the differences between the Limited and Standard versions?

So that is Greenwich Mean Time?

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

Assuming it's GMT, that's 5 hours ahead of EST, so that would be 1 PM EST.

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

If I'm remembering correctly, London is GMT +1, meaning 6pm in London would actually be 5pm GMT.

I'd assume that the 6pm time they are speaking of is their own local time, but they really do need to take a global view and be much clearer about this kind of thing so that people can adjust accordingly, and do so without fear of getting the time wrong.

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

Or consider folks like me !! Its 1am for me...

hahaha!! No worries as Im usually up at that time anyway.

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

Anyone got the e-mail with the actual pre-order links? Not the one to sign up for pre-order, but the link we are supposed to use on Thursday and Friday?

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

I havent received anything further since getting the email saying my priority preorder request had been accepted.
If I recall correctly, the link went out on the day last time, and mine didn't work!!! I had to be sent one to get on.

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

Indeed, I remember that (I believe that I was the one who sent you the link... :p).

But yeah, nothing here yet either. And I feel your pain, I think it'll be around 3am here, if my calculations are correct.

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

Yup, it was indeed. And just as well, coz I couldnt get in otherwise.
If..if..if... I could trust my dad to do this without technical support (haha) Id just wake up to find I had a preorder in place. Who am I kidding? Ill do it myself !!!

That is wrong, Brussels, Paris etc is GMT+1. England is GMT.

It would seem kind of dumb to name a time zone after a town in England and not have England follow suit. :lol

Right this second it is 3:40 am in London. Check out my time stamp and let that be your guide to figure things out if you need.

England is GMT.

Well Nicey, I thought that you were correct, seems like not anymore. :dunno

Actually, isn't it now UTC? Universal Time Coordinated? Or some such bollocks that is meant to replace GMT. And why? For reasons that would only be important to scientists and maths nerds....Leap Seconds and the 0.9 second Earth Rotational Differential!!!

:slap

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

This is amusing. People trying to figure out when 6 pm GMT is around the planet.
I just got back from Europe, (6 hours behind my local time) and my body thinks its mid afternoon when it's middle of the night!!
Anyways, GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) was created to ensure that the railways ran on time with a unified clock, instead of all the various counties having their various time pieces at different settings creating chaos with timing. Looks like its causing the very problem on a global scale that it was originally designed to compensate for!! :lol :impatient:

Re: Big Chief Studios - 1/6 Doctor Who - #04 Tom Baker

I know it's one hour later my time. So 7pm for me. Don't know don't care about you lot.

Just kidding, Pix's link is where it's at.
