They need to repaint this head sculpt, not just futz with his rank insignia. Tone down the dark hair and make it more white, and do something to bring out Neal’s likeness better. I’d like to get this, but not if it doesn’t look anything like the actor. This is almost, but not quite, as bad as that horrible Tom Sizemore that DiD put out.

I'm buying it for the uniform and gear but if they improve the sculpt paint all well and good, because with his icy stare I can see a future for him fighting on the other side.

Always feels strange when a cold weather figure arrives on a hot day.

Especially when we don't get many hot days any more (!)

Quality appears good, as is now expected from Facepool. Feels so much more of a proper release than the last Ujiindou figure I received - the disappointing Grossdeutschland uniform sets that they completely messed up.

By contrast 'Buck' looks the part right out of the box. Thankfully Facepool also correctly scale their head sculpts, as opposed to Ujindou's penchant for making them tiny.

Straight out of the box, minimal futzing - just tucked the laces into the boots and bloused the trousers.

I've never been bothered by the sculpt as I'm not collecting Band of Brothers figures per se.

He kind of reminds me of Neal McDonough, more so from the side and from three quarters front. They never did address his hair colour, which would've sold the likeness better.

Irrespective of likeness it's a very good sculpt in itself, especially in hand without the crimes of the camera flash.

The moulded gloves were a welcome addition right from the start, and are so much better than DID's real fabric efforts, which usually end up looking like oven mitts, and often serve better as something to hold rather than actually wear.

The Thompson is stamped up with its markings...

Just one 'R' away from near perfection. :lol

The more I look at him the more impressed I am.

He's rivalling DID's Patton for my favourite American in the collection, and that's not something I was expecting.

US webbing is my least favourite to assemble though. Feeding the equipment hooks into the belt eyes is one thing, but attaching the suspender spring clips to the eyes is a whole other level of frustration.

After looking at the photos I realised that one of those hooks still hadn't properly fastened around the belt - I've fixed that now. And also fastened the magnetic scabbard strap that runs through the top finger hole.

However, once assembled the kit is very secure which adds to the solid feeling of the figure.

Received mine last night but only had a few minutes to check it out. Strongly agree with everything Asta said!

Excellent head sculpt; I don't see too much resemblance to McDonough but that's ok. It looks like a genuine real person, with realistic complexion and detail. This kind of quality is all I really ask for, and Facepool has nailed it with the head sculpt, the molded glove hands, and everything else.

Can't wait to pose him with Winters!
