This may be the wrong forum but I wanted to know if there is a place you guys go to get Hot Toy bases or sideshow bases? To the point is I hate my Classic Predator base and want to go to a basic base so I wont have any issues sliding the City Hunter in with him on the detolf.

Thanks

I hate the SSC bases. :lol

The SW ones' logos tend to rub off over time, & I'm just not a fan of that circular bottom piece. I dig the HT bases. :)

eBay's always got both. :huh

The newer Sideshow bases come with the grundle grabbers as opposed to the waist holders .

I like the Hot Toys , but for having a base with a custom decal ,i use sideshow , more space for the figure to stand.

I always use the stand that comes with the figure for the most part, stands create a uniformity that looks good on display and protects the figure, however I usually have the crotch grabber stands set to catch the figure, not touching it as so it won't leave marks on the figure thigh. I picked up the new hot toys led rotating stand, its cool but a space hog.

I have to agree.

Never had a problem, just make sure the grabbers are really getting a handful lol.

HATE them both. do not care for the crotch grabber stands. figures fall off them band break.

doesn't happen often, But it does happen. My iron man mark VI fell once.... so did my Mark II. I was standing right there when the VI fell.. caught it.. Not so much with the the II. he's got a pant chip on his pelvis now . recently my snake eyes commando took a tumble, snapped the handle off his sword.

Some Hot Toys figure stand bases are pretty ****ty.

I'd say about half of my collection have bases that have marks or rubs and I don't even handle them other than taking them out of the box and putting them on the shelf. I have quite a few figures that stick to the base from the printing from the license title.

My Tech Noir 1984 T-800s are the worse. The boots stick the base so well that you could literally lift the figure by the head and the base comes with it. Some of the red type has rubbed off onto the figure's foot.

Enterbay! Love the folding section, the weight of the metal and the hinged joint! ;P

I have a bunch of HT stands, which I like, but I never end up displaying my figures with them!

Toy Anxiety is a good store to buy bases from... I imagine when the part out the new TT bodies they will sell a lot of them loose.
