even so... unless you just cannot source real leather, it won't look as good or accurate as if you use real leather.. and real leather obviously weathers and scuffs like, well, real leather ...at least look into it... if you are serious about selling these take some time and nail it right.. your customers will love it..

Exactly. Nothing quite matches the way you can weather real leather. Plus the grain is there as well.

I know. But still. I prefer this as it looks better in scale and the weathering would look better. Also, leather is extremely expensive in Singapore. To me, it's a matter of preference

That is all well and good but until someone else offers this in real leather I will get what I can.

i have some very fine leather , i would be willing to provide some in exchange for a book??the photo shows a couple of different thin leathers i have used in MY grail diaries and a litlle thicker for my book of secrets.
The thin one would work very well otherwise i can thin it out even more.
