Guess I have to go Plan B but I'll trade Arena Boba Fett NIB for this Cap NIB.

Hi James,

Just a friendly reminder that Captain America (Stealth Suit) will only be available while supplies last, so order now before it's gone to the Undying Lands, never to return!

This is why I'll never be upset over re-issues. When Hot Toys actually releases and keep something "exclusive" & limited (which I did not expect they would at all but they have with this and the new 46) no one is happy.

More re-issues = more and cheaper figures for everyone.

DHL just called about the £70+ import tax that's due. Between that and the fact Sideshow blocked coupons and RP on this, it's one expensive figure 😅.

I'm seeing a lot of people blaming Sideshow for this mess. You've clearly never tried to order from Funko where people would exploit the system and figure out to hack back to the front of the line to buy multiples.

I think Sideshow handled it a lot better than most of the orders I've placed online.

Yeah I saw a lot of people try to make these type of arguments on Facebook as well. "You weren't around for the FURBY market clearly man it was BRUTAL!"

Yeah no.
I've Bought plenty of funkos, a couple ps5s, and tons of different "limited" stuff from different places. This was still a **** show.

In any case, bit the bullet, paid a bit of a premium, albeit not that much given this was already $320+tax+ship with no rewards, and picked this up from TBA. Had to have it for the collection.

Still waiting on mine to go out. 2 days later and all they've done is print the label.

It sounds like you're saying that SS didn't do anything wrong as long as someone else did it worse. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense... I agree that Funko stories sound like nightmare material, but that doesn't mean SS handled it well. SS could have done a lot to make this work out better.

I don’t think he’s saying that at all.

The point is: If you’ve dealt with releases from Funko or Nike, Adidas, Sony and yadda, yadda… the “broken site” experience is nothing new.

Of course, like this situation, people have different results. I was NEVER able to buy a PS5 or Yeezys online where they would sell out in seconds… but, I was able to keep trying and got this release.

The online buying experience today is a joke, but YES this release sucked and hopefully Sideshow will do better since so many are pissed.

So then knowing all these experiences are universal to buying limited products they decided to...

-Announce the edition size
-Repeatedly ask people to sign up for the rsvp email
-Make 0 preparations for increased traffic despite being able to gauge it by the rsvp list.

They dropped the ball big time. Maybe they could start using the rsvp/invitation system (and waitlists tbh) in cases like these for more than just a targeted email blast.

Fair enough, I guess. Although, I still wouldn't agree with his assessment that those that criticized SS have never experienced the past hardships of broken sites and chase items. I think that's why I interpreted his comment differently. The second sentence seems to imply that anyone blaming SS must not have ever experienced this before with previous products. It's true that the SS experience might not have been the pinnacle or bad experiences, but so what? lol. It's not really a contest and each can be judged by its own merit.
