I find that the body is just not ferocious enough to represent the Hulk.

Hear me out.

It needs to have more muscle striations and veins.

In other words the body needs to look angrier, if that makes any sense.

It needs to look more ripped not so smooth, their current body just makes him look like a bodybuilder and NOT the Hulk!

See what I’m saying.

Norton‘s Hulk had an “angrier” body.

True. But keep in mind this is Geriatric Hulk

It's all in preferences of what people imagine they ideal Hulk to look like or be.
Some like the angryier he get the bigger he get and some like the leaner muscular look of Incredible Hulk look.
I love the MCU Hulk look it a fair balance between 80s show and Previous Hulk of 2003.

Well, I’m not really bringing up the size thing from Ang Lee’s Hulk where he got bigger when he got angrier.

That’s a whole other discussion lol

For me this is not Hulk.

This is just a bodybuilder with an angry head.

Just look at his body it’s just a normal big bodybuilding dude with smooth soft looking muscles.

I want angry body Hulk:

if anything I think the green Hulk has a meaner looking body and forearms than the updated sculpt Red…

Like the HT's OG Avengers Hulk, this has the striations primarily in the neck area, which combined with those great sculpts convincingly convey anger to me. I suppose he could be veinier but depending on the pose and lighting the veins in his arms pop pretty well.

I'd like to think the die hard MCU collectors are balls deep into buying this.

Is that not the case? No wrong answer, just wondering based on a stupid Reddit poll I saw.

I guess I thought this thing would bring all the MCU-heads out of the woodwork.
I’m balls deep. I’ve completely lost my appendage I’m that deep.
I think this looks good. Not incredible… just good. And that’ll do for me cos I reckon this is the only version we will get. I am absolutely displaying him gritted teeth, its a better look imo.
I’ve only got Wolverine and God Loki on PO at the moment with nothing arriving on the horizon. It’s been a lean year or two because I’m still very happy with my original HT versions of characters and feel no need at all to upgrade to any of the artisan (I only collect one version of each character anyway). I’m keen to start PO’ing figs again tho…

Well, Sterns was working with 82 year old Harrison Ford's muscle atrophied body, so he started from a disadvantage. Gamma radiation can only do so much lol...

That’s just a dude at Gold’s Gym.
Except the dudes at Gold's Gym aren't 9 feet tall...

I get where you're coming from wanting a freakish looking Hulk, but the MCU was never going that route. For better or worse they've always focused more on being able to recognize the man/actor beneath the monster, hence the mocap and eerily good facial translations that help the CGI blend more seamlessly with the real world sets. That is, when they aren't rushing things due to countless script rewrites and late reshoots lol...
