Yeah, I think I'm done trying

This is a pain in the ass to order.
Plus this figure is just too expensive once you factor in taxes for the UK.
Really want a Winter Soldier 2.0 hes my one of my fave characters and this is my fave MCU film, but the artisan price + sideshow tax + VAT & import make this prohibitively expensive ......
.......which combined with THE MOST ANNOYING PURCHASING FORMAT EVER, makes this more trouble than its worth.

Congratulations to everyone that secured either offering of these.

I was given the opportunity to pre-order as I had a low assigned wait number, but Sideshow had blocked my account due to a charge dispute that was resolved over a month ago. Apparently regardless of when it is resolved it’s up to their accounting software to update account status and that can take 90 days!

Really upset I missed out due to Sideshow administration issues. (And yes the dispute was resolved with them agreeing they charged me twice for the same item). So even more frustrating that their error has caused even more inconvenience and lost opportunities.

I know it's expensive and maybe a year from now less will care, but there's also buying from reputable agents when released. It's the only way I was gonna get the Artisan Jack Sparrow. Can't say I regret it either. Would do the same for WS bein' my favorite MCU character.

Trying hard to think of any other characters I need/want an Artisan for - unless it's an early COTBP/AWE Jack Sparrow I hope not. Don't wanna ever go through this h3llish queue system again:pfft:. With my luck they'll put out an artisan farmboy Luke. :monkey2

Yep, fortune didn't favor me this time. Ah well. We'll see if the waitlist converts, and if it doesn't, it'll just save me the money of grabbing this and the new Cap.

Congrats @Gipetto0812 !!!

I was way to nervous/anxious and was scared to mess things up so I didn't use any RP's ...oh well, still cheaper than if I had picked one up from Pop Collectibles.

BTW thanks for you advice about the que late last night (early this morning) it calmed me down and let me know what to expect.

When the que opened I only had to wait 7 minutes on my phone, the wait on my laptop was 15 minutes ...I only bought one :)
Happy to help! :duff It can definitely be nerve racking especially if it's a character you really want. I had 4 devices open of Jack Sparrow!

I was worried that adding the RPs was going to boot me out b/c it was raking time for the page to update. Thankfully it went through :yess:

Their system is a joke for pre orders, super disappointed. I tried to add this figure to the cart for over an hour. It’s good though, saved me money on buying this and the stealth cap. I wont be getting one without the other.

I’m in the same boat. Don’t care to have one without the other.
Gonna be an even bigger hassle when they announce the Artisan Black Widow.

I would have settled quite happily with a sculpted hair version for Bucky. Zero reason he had to be artisan only like they did for Anakin.

You can convert a Waitlist in seconds!

I think what happens is you get in the queue line but getting to the page doesn't mean that any are available. Because those in front of you are still processing transactions. By the time you actually can... maybe sold out.

I think they will issue another down the road but with sculpted hair and probably no shield.

I RSVP'D for this and had some huge sticker shock when I saw he was over $400 (I haven't been paying attention to the prices of the Artisan releases as none short of Anakin have interested me).

I hemmed and hawwed about whether to buy him. But I'm in for the special edition.

Remind me, is there a way of getting out of the NRD? I know in practice one shouldn't be able to but I seem to recall people doing such.

Only if the figure gets majorly delayed or you get lucky with a customer service rep to move the money onto another figure pre-order instead, but that's rare.

*&^'%$ I thought I was done with this queue *&^% system. Although, I've always liked my Widows. Got the original worst case. And sticking with my original Strike Cap anyway, stiff flat chest and all. 😁

Think the original masked sculpt for Bucky still holds up; and TBH to me this is a slightly lazy release - no greased portrait, no Gerber knife/sheathe, no jacket. Leaves the door open for customizers.

Agreed. Jack Sparrow, TDK Joker, Phoenix Joker, Wanda, Moon Knight (kinda), IW Spiderman 2.0, and God Loki all have sculpted hair versions. There's really no reason for both HT or InArt to not offer sculpted hair versions when there is opportunity for both. Even I would've like a sculpted hair option as a back up just to have in the even something were to ever happen to the rooted hair.
