He's here.

A bit heavier than expected, and the colour is amazing!

The paintwork is pearlescent, and changes as you look at him from different angles. Metallic blue and a dark, burnt copper are predominant, like the blued finish on a firearm. He looks like a silver droid that's been subjected to extreme heat.

There doesn't look like there's much room for the crotch grabber without risking scratching the paint, so I've used a waist grabber. I'm not a fan of waist grabbers unless they can be hidden under clothing, but at least his wired section is dark.

I wish they'd start to use some neon color eyes so it would look good enough even without led on.

Before he arrived I was wondering whether you could put silver foil behind the eyes so they'd reflect more light.

But they're completely blocked off behind a black plastic plate.

Not if you have to deal with the randomizer and hope to just be lucky enough to purchase one. I’d rather wait the 3 years than have to fight for every release.

but this was the only one
the other droid and troopers where easy to get right?
the hard to get ones like the artisan figures are really not cool

That’s a good idea using Jyn as a replacement for Aphra.

In my personal canon she didn't die on Scarif, because that'd be a waste of a very appealing character.

(She saw visions of her death in nightmares following her last minute rescue from the planet. lol)


I have another Jyn displayed in her poncho and cap, and the Imperial disguise version. They were all in one Detolf but I've been rearranging the collection to accommodate the upcoming Rebels from Ahsoka and (hopefully) the Doctor Aphra trio.

During the show I was honestly wondering why they didnt bring one of those black floating Imperial torture droids. Which Im glad they didnt, but just saying.

Remember that Cross has too much resale value to kill

Got mine today. Really beautiful coloring in person. For essentially a repaint with 4 new hands, it’s a really nice figure. Has the limited articulation all protocol droids have but the red eyes and Edward Scissorhands hands really set him apart from 3PO. I hope they get to Dr. Aphra soon and offer a two pack of her and 0-0-0 for those that missed out to the the limited run single release. If they announce that sooner rather than later they could salvage BT’s release and not make just over 2,000 of it.

I got mine yesterday. As others say it's more than just a repaint. The finish is really well done, lots of subtle shades. Even if like me, you couldn't care less about the Aphra character, this and BT-1 will look awesome next to Vader. I'm a bit of a sucker for droids!

Also as a nice surprise I got a 3d collectable coin with it.
