No one is in the inner circle with HT here. Many have professed to be, but it was all bollocks.

Jack Bauer had some info on the Star Wars line, but i haven't seen him around for a while.

Indeed. just poseurs, except for maybe Jack Bauer.

My best guess, is they have this in line for a run BUT it'll be slow going because of Chinese NY.

Hey Ripley fans, i wanted to share with you a small part of my just finished Alien tattoo, with Ripley herself :D
I'll post full pics when it's healed, if you want. I love it!
And sorry for the small derail :)

Ripley: This thing bled acid. Who knows what it's gonna do when it's dead?

I think it's safe to assume it's not a zombie!

Calf back tat? Is there another character on the left? Looks like an ear is there

Haha, not a zombie for sure :D
It's not on calf, but on the forearm. The ear you see is Aldo's :)

I just watched Alien for the first time a few weeks ago, and now I absolutely need this figure. Such a well developed character

I saw Alien when it first opened in theaters back around Memorial
Day of 1979. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. I'd gone to see
it with 8 or 9 people, and the theater was packed, but it felt more
like I was alone at home at night, seeing it on tv during a thunderstorm.

It was scary. It was highly original. It was great.
I still enjoy watching it, almost 38 years later.

I'm looking forward to getting the Hot Toys 12 " Ripley this year.
:)

I saw it sometime when I was a kid, but didn't fully appreciate it until I got older. I grew more up with Aliens and now prefer Alien. Funny, I have almost the same relationship with Terminator and T2.

True, Aliens used to be my favorite too. But now, though I still love it, I prefer the original and maybe even Alien3. T2 didn't exist when I was a kid, but I totally see the same thing happening there - T1 is the only Terminator movie that I really care about.

Same here as i grow older i learnt to appreciate alien more. Its much more atmospherically scary than aliens. Aliens is a much more action packed and quotable movie but that doesn't necessarily mean its better. I guess i like both the movies equally as both are polar opposites of each other and each has its good points. Oh yeah and i love alien 3 too. Many people hate it but i thought it rounded up the series nicely. Lets not talk about alien resurrection...forgettable movie by all accounts.

ALIEN had great set pieces, art direction, moody/suspenseful/claustrophobic atmosphere and of course a great new concept for the alien life cycle. Aliens was more an action special effects show but IMO a worthy follow up. Alien3 was one of my life's greatest disappointments.

I was barely 7 or 8 yrs old when one ABC sunday nite at the movies aired the TV edit of Alien sometime in the early 80's. That was the first time I saw it. I was 11 when I saw Aliens in the theatre and instantly put that at the top fave movie list. Finally in 2003 was able to see the first movie on the big screen with the director's cut which was cool to see it as by then I flipped Aliens/Alien in my fave ranking. Now as others have professed, I prefer Alien to Aliens, but I still love Aliens and usually watch it at least once a year. I didn't like Alien 3 at first but have grown to appreciate it more after I saw it a few times. It's been a while since I've seen Resurrection so I'm probably due.

Aliens is a bit adolescent is its problem.

The original is a literal masterpiece. Which is amazing since it was green-lit as a B-movie mostly because of the Star Wars space craze and slaughter-fest movies like Jaws. In fact is was sold as Jaws in Space.
