they totally don't have her eyes IMHO. The rest of face yes, mouth for sure but eye they're seemingly off. It could be paint job too, but still....

It's pretty much all in the upper eye lid. And it's not paint. It's the sculpt. Very frustrating because the early protos, while not quite sculpted quite right in other areas to depict a younger Weaver, totally had this feature nailed.

I'm gonna get my Ripley and do Ridley's original ending for the film with it, so her headsculpt won't be an issue! :D

this sculpt is so bad that I decided to speed sculpt a new one just to deal with my frustration, it WAS a ONE DAY JOB!!!!!!! Jesus!!! they had 3 years, And they had a good one already to mess with. ( and they also get paid to do it) :gah: just lame

( I didn't even tried to match the lights so don't pay attention to that)

I'm hoping a 3rd party will release an un-official rooted hair version at some point. She tied her hair back toward the end, and making a custom spacesuit version will be a lot easier without solid hair.

Yep, I'm thinking I might make a Ripley in pressure suit version at some point. I made Lambert already, so it should be doable.

I'm all for tighty whities pre-suit Ripley! But yeah pressure suit Ripley would be a cool one to have. With the level of aftermarket heads (kumik et.al..) there are bound to be other accessories and sculpts available.

What gets me is the first proto was tons better, then this version. WTF r they smoking at HT?

Wasn't the first proto the one the one that looked as much like Adrienne Barbeau as it did Sigourney Weaver? I thought the second one was the version everybody liked. Anyway, I imagine they decided to resculpt again because #2 was a much better representation of Weaver in '86 than in '79. Or Weaver didn't sign off on it for some reason.

I spoke with someone at SSC and they said they are expecting her to arrive mid May to ship just before the tail end of the month. That's not too bad.

Regarding the height. As previously stated the description says approximately 30cm tall. To compare to the Rey description it says approximately 28cm tall. So if the description is accurate Ripley is almost an inch taller than Rey and Ripley's height would be accurate. I think the height is as important as the likeness of the sculpt.

But 30 cm in sixth scale comes in at just a bit less than five feet eleven inches. That's really not entirely accurate. It's a little short for Sigourney Weaver. I suppose if the "approximately" means something closer to 30.5 cm...

30cmX6=180cm, that's 2cm (or .3cm in 1/6) away from being accurate... ... and it was "approximately".... how accurate does it have to be to be accurate in your book?

I think I already answered that. Also, you're the one who said the height is as important to you as the likeness.

That must mean we'll be seeing in-hand pics from Asia this coming week, next at that latest.
