These older licenses should bring additional accessories as well. They could have at least thrown in an Alien chest-burster or face-hugger to sweeten the deal.

An "Ash" head with real milky goodness would have been pretty cool, too.

Compared to what else Hot Toys is releasing these days she seems to have quite a lot already... I think what I was getting at earlier - maybe we are a bit unrealistic in our 'expectations' - or lack there of.

It would be interesting to know how much Ripley sells, and the warrior for that matter. Maybe we just don't get that this franchise now is a niche line and we should be happy that they even bother with it at all. I know that Neca seems to sell the line pretty good, but maybe people just stick with Neca when it comes to Alien. We don't see any unlicensed figures at all. Even Danny Glover from Predator 2 gets an unlicensed figure. And all the unlicensed Marvel stuff. There's a ton of characters that these companies could put out. "Space Captain" (Dallas)... hell, we even tried to get a custom figure of Dallas made here - and we couldn't even get 10 people to stay interested...

Yeah that was a shame, the costs were what drove me away as it was hitting over 300USD which was nearing my limits

The Ash head would have been cool, but they probably would have had to get Ian Holm's likeness rights even to do that.

Jonesy, Jonesy's cat cage, the motion tracker, flamethrower. They could have given her a MUTHR access card, radio headset (yeah the sculpted hair would interfere) but she really didn't have a lot of 'accessories' to begin with. Other things they COULD have done, a backdrop card of the Nostromo corridor for display would have been nice or in the ultimate deluxe version, have the base double as the nuclear bolt assembly. Facehugger on the tray too.

Yes yes, the more the better... but could we really expect that with all the bare bone figures being released by HT at the moment?

yup. I wonder if Sigourney also had any 'say' in as to what the figure would be accessorized with, since she had to 'sign off' on it.

18 months later, and still not a blip on the tracker...

Vasquez: You're just reading Belle.

:lol

Hoping this pops up next Tues or Thurs. I fear they want to get the other Guardians out for order though.

Ripley may wait until the 19th to capitalize on Alien hype... assuming there is any.

I can't believe how much money Fox is throwing at advertising this movie. Ads are everywhere.

The littany of ads in print, tv, internet, web is amazing, coupled with the footage. Makes you wonder if it's a plea from Fox...

As to using it as an advantage for Ripley's release, she is only passivley related imho to Covenant. I for one don't really think of the Nostromo when I think of or watch Prometheus, the links are pretty passive for me. Until he get's closer to the first film with his constant prequels, then a Ripley tie in may be more befitting.

Capitalize on hype? Maybe releasing it would help with sales. At the very least it would stop any more cancellations.

My best guess is the 11th or 18th, Film opens on the 19th. Very much doubt they'll release this after Covenant opens BUT this is HT, they didn't care enough about doing this correctly, even "spaced" on her watch, so who knows.

Hey theuzi9mm, how would you react if HT did Ripley 8 with the basketball ? :wink1: Personally think her leather look would look so cool.
