What sucks is that Jones is soooooo bad, and Hot Toys have simply passed him over. He's not simply a cat - he was a pivotal member of the Nostromo crew, and was an important plot point throughout the film. Brett is killed looking for him; Ripley is trying to find him when Parker and Lambert are killed; she attempts to shut down the self-destruct when ambushed by the alien and dropping the cat box (and Jonesy is left alone with the alien leering at him - even swiping him away in the Director's Cut!); Ripley's exit turns upon her returning to grab Jones in his cat box, etc.

Not cool Hot Toys. :(

The cat might be an important plot point, but it wasn't a real character of any kind, so I'm not really bothered by it.

And even if this was the most realistic cat ever sculpted, I probably wouldn't bother displaying it anyway. :D

Cat looks terrible but rest of it looks superb....still worried about the height though and not like one can swap the body because the clothing doesn't look long enough on the legs to allow for that.

That cat has to be one of the absolute worst accessories hot toys has ever made. Should be repainted to go with a Dr. Evil custom. Off the top of my head I'm having a hard time coming up with anything worse....

Yeah even though Sideshow has the height listed as 11.8 inches, the figure still doesn't seem quite as tall and lean as you would expect it to be for Sigourney (or like their Ada Wong appears to be, for example). Although in most of the pics it appears the pants come down a bit lower on the figure than they should anyway, so you could probably get away with increasing the height by another 1/8 inch or so and still have it look accurate.

Some of you are planning to leave the cat in the carrier.

I'm planning to leave him in the figure box!

And probably leave that box inside the brown shipper!

But Ripley looks good to me! And since my last flex payment was over a year ago, she feels like a $75 figure! :lol

That is a whole other species of cat -- origin unknown and it belongs locked up in the carrier.

I like it and I'm happy but how is it I still have a friggin' payment to go on this even though I PO'd it the week it went up for order?

So happy she's finally out!
Really glad they did another pass at her face sculpt to improve likeness
I prefer prototype real hair, but oh well..I can live with sculpted hair

Now Hulkbuster, 89 Catwoman and 66 Batmobile!!

I'm still surprised people were slamming this sculpt way back when. Say what you will about the rooted hair, but the upper eyelids were much more prominent and greatly helped the likeness.

That's the one area where the final sculpt could use some improvement. They seem to have gotten rid of her eyelids entirely.

Apart from that, I'm happy with it. Spent the last ten minutes looking at photos from the 1979 production and, while her eyelids were definitely more prominent, her overall 'look' seemed to change depending on angle and light, much like this figure. This is likely the best we're going to get, especially for economic reasons.

Will place my order come morning. In the words of Alien 3's Morse: "____ it! Let's go for it!"

When i see this, it instantly looks like ripley to me. The current/newer sculpts i have to try harder.

Thanks! But I will wait for a better video before buying her again...I will need a video that would show more detail about her face...that one is ok but I don't know...anyway, how much place in cm I would need to display properly two hot toys figures please?

There are some pictures were I recognize ripley but I don't know if they are retouched or what! What are your feeling being ht collectors?

I'm sure she will look like Sigourney with underlighting. I'm worried about skin texture and details that brings her to "life" like other figures. If she arrives at my home, I think I will repaint her hair with brown touches...

About space... I have two figures in my detolf: Black Widow and Ant-man and the space is perfect.
