Yeah they can be a bit fiddly

A guy in the customs section here did a lot of mods to his SSC Jango and it looked incredible.

Yeah I think you can probably improve on a few things with this figure I don't think I have the confidence to do that

I had to get Jango the other day. I haven't posed him yet, but I'm glad I got him. Don't think HT will do him for at least a couple of years... But we'll see.

It seems like HT and Sideshow are avoiding competing directly by not releasing the same characters from the same movie. Like SS does ROTJ Vader and HT does ANH Vader and SS does ESB Fett and HT ROTJ. Also SS seems to be the ones focusing on the prequels, maybe not to compete with HT on their releases... Or did I miss something? As SS and HT share the license or SS allows HT to use it, it wouldn't make any sense to compete directly. If I'm right we won't get a HT Jango any time soon.

Do high-end figures come under the master toy license? I know when SS started they got permission off Hasbro but by now surely these are much, much further away from toys.

this was how it worked prior to Disney buying Lucas film. Basically when Hot toys did ESB Luke this is the route that was taken. Since then however, Disney has split the licenses up first into regions (north America, Asia etc...) so Sideshow got the 1/6 for North America, hot toys got it for Asia.

This is also why Japanese 1/12 products like figuarts cant be imported into North America, because Hasbro has that region.

Just go to the SSC Jango thread and go back maybe four pages from the current one. There hasn't been a huge amount of activity since he posted it in that thread. He dyed the suit and did a bunch of mods.

Am I missing something ridiculously horrible about this figure??? To my eye it seems less imperfect than most of the line so far, and a figure like Leia that seems to need an entire new outfit as an upgrade is getting more attention than Boba-fkin-Fett??

I didn't get this in hand but it looks pretty solid based on pics. Removing the fat suit looks like a must, but aside from that what's so bad about this that it's whisper quiet in here??
