The hands look toy-like and lack detail

First thing that stood out to me with the initial images of the production pieces. Agreed they do look toyish that why they stand out on this beautiful piece. I did not want to say anything because you guys might give me one of these.....

That is the only scene with John Morton in the Boba Fett costume,

I don't know if he is taller or shorter than Jeremy Bulloch but it may make a difference if doing a height comparison with Vader.
