It is, Bane. Like I said, I'm hyper-sensitive when it comes to Boba Fett. Don't get me wrong, though. I love the figure from a 'best sixth-scale-Boba-Fett-ever standpoint.

However, there's plenty to be desired. You've been in the Stormtrooper and Vader threads. You know how we purists can be. The thing is, I think that this Fett is more 'off' in more ways than either the Stormtrooper or Vader is.

I'll be posting shortly.

It's been interesting to see the laundry list of mods people have done for Vader - shocking really, given it's a $300 Hot Toys figure. But some of it is obvious - they should never have let stuff like the chest armor or the gloves/hands get onto a released figure; they're just way off.

And yeah, I do love my HT stormies but I swapped out the helmets for the Marmit Sandie one (Marmit sandie now has the HT sandie helmet :slap) because the HT one just felt too Don Post for my liking.

Okay, okay. Maybe I was a little heavy handed dolling out that remark. I do realize that this hobby is hit and miss. I just really like Boba Fett. I would like a figure that properly represents him especially at the price range. I was hoping this would be it.

...and yeah, $200. I used my SSC points.

That's interesting, I got blasted in the Storm Trooper thread because I didn't like the helmet. I wouldn't call myself a purist, but the helmet sculpt was too idealized. HT didn't need to perfect everything, but the helmet is a must in my opinion.

Dr. Nash, I LOVE how you take your fig pics outdoors!:clap

It shows the in-hand figure WAY better than the Detolf/LED lighting does.

Does the figure stand up okay without the stand or does he really need the stand due to the jetpack weight?

Thanks Talibane! Yes, he stands up just fine without the stand - great articulation in his feet and for now, mine are not loose. It is very easy to pose this guy, his joints move with ease but are not loosey goosey. His jetpack is as light as air so doesn't seem to affect him standing up. Here's a quick pic without the stand and with an awkward pose and it was easy to do and he stood solid!

Not a turd in any way, shape or form. Working on a little write up, but I took a few quick and dirty shots.

Your photos didn't show up for me, just an error message but I tracked down the links to repost. What a turd!

Just kidding of course. Looks good. Very nice shots.

I really like this figure. He looks great, but I find him hard to handle, because the jetpack moves around so much and the hands pop out pretty easily. Getting the jetpack on the figure is a challenge, but I found the best way to get it on him is to hold him upside down and hook it on.

I want my bounty hunter rocketed turd asap. Those pics indoors and outdoors look amazing.

So for anyone outside the USA...what's the expected arrival date of your Fett?

Sent from the Death Star communication division.
