Ignoring the head sculpt, how do we feel about the rest of figure? Like, not from a perspective buyers viewpoint. Just in general. I'm curious.

Rest looks good. Apart from the awful USB saber. But headsculpt is the most important part.

Just watched this and he doesn't even come with two saber gripping hands... Instead comes with a comlink hand despite not even including a comlink? Also the hood isn't even wired unlike every other jedi robe before this. They REALLY dropped the ball on this figure.

Still debating on cancelling or not, Mace is one of my favorite jedi but this figure just gets more and more disappointing for me.

Like, I have my reasons which I'm comfortable with for getting this. And it's definitely not the sculpt which will never see the light of day on my shelf. I have plans for it.

But I don't understand some others that hate pretty much... everything about it and still buy it. This doesn't make sense to me. What's keeping you hooked?

We didn't have Mace for years. And from your point of view, we still don't. So just cut it loose and enjoy other stuffs worth your money, ya know?

I hate seeing folks buy figs they know they won't find SOME semblance of joy in owning. Remember, these mf's ain't cheap. Be true yourself.

If you can find enough in a fig to be OK with it, more power to you. Otherwise, don't pay for regret.

Watching Justin's vid IMO pathetic effort compared to say, Qui-Gon. Which got some flack for the head sculpt but IMO in hand - actually as Justin mentions for Mace - great paint and fine detailing. And Qui-Gon came with wired poncho, great costume and boots, accessories. Mace feels stripped with no wires in the cloak, not a great hand selection, just feels bare bones. Can't believe the limp cloak.

But most of all I have no complaints with TWS Fury so WTF this head sculpt. Did they take doing an animated CW version literally and is this supposed to be a cartoon sculpt? And I don't light my figs often but when I do the light up shouldn't be sad. Overall this is a tepid effort that needs to be 30% off.

I had actually paid this off in full a few months out of excitement for the character and Kit already shipped it last weekend. I completely forgot and it just shipped. I was going to wait for in hand photos and maybe cancel based on them. If it hadn't played out like that and already shipped I'd be cancelling. How do you not give two saber holding hands?

I have never known them not to include two saber holding hands for a jedi character though, usually it's just the force hands and whatnot. Regardless it's more weird to me that he comes with a comlink holding hand instead lol

There will definitely be a 2.0 of Mace. It’s just a matter of when. Although, expect it to be the ROTS version, which is about 90% indentical to his AOTC look.

Hot Toys doesn’t like to take this big of hit on the criticism of their sculpts. They may not fix it for this release, as it never goes down like that, but they will make sure to fix it and sell it to you later. Of course, it will be attached to a full figure that you really don’t need, because they’re too greedy to offer up the head by itself, in conjunction with the 2.0 release.

Yeah, lol, collecting used to be fun for me, now I feel like a dumbass for buying hot toys
Price is higher and the US$ currency is getting worse for me yet I keep repeating the same mistake of purchasing an imperfect V1. If somehow they announce 2.0 and I can't sell this, maybe I just be content like an old collector who keep their sideshow or kenner

It is weird. You can find parts of every HT figure on the bay, but not for this one, or for e.g. CW Obi-Wan.

Toy Anxiety, and the other 1/6 part shops are also not parting these figs out.

What is happening? Collectors & customizers would kill for parts from these figures...... 3D print does not offer yet the degree of quality manufacturers do..... This is not happening with figures from other manufacturers.

Are we facing a drought of loose HT parts? Why?
