That black dress was Padme at peak cocktease. No wonder Anakin went ballistic on the sand people. All that pent up frustration was ready to burst out.

My ideal Padme looks to display would be The Queen Amidala red dress with the funny orb things around the bottom, then Tattooine disguise and the arena look with torn midriff and slashed up back- but they dressed her so fantastically in every scene that all of her looks are display worthy.

She’s top of my AOTC want list for the next batch of announcements, closely followed by Mace. The more time I spend looking at my Sideshow version, the more I want to just get rid of it!

Peak cocktease

Was that Sideshow version that bloody awful snow bunny thing? Hands down one of the worst 1:6 Star Wars figures ever made.

But yeah, her best look is the black dress for me. Ideally I just want something royal for her, the AOTC look isn't doing it for me. So I'll keep waiting. And waiting. And waiting...

My schedule's already packed with the Stranges, Kenobi Vader, the out-of-left-field InArts and whatever, so I can wait until the ROTS Anniversary for Mace, alongside Palpatine and Anakin/Obi-Wan reissues. But then again I'm already going to pay aftermarket prices for Qui-Gon, Dooku, TPM Maul and the such, so what's one more? I'm just torn on this. A part of me wants it now, another knows that I'll pass on it because of everything else that's going on at the moment.

Honestly, considering it's been, what, 2 years, since General Kenobi was shown and never put up for PO, I can see them just announcing a bunch of Clones, maybe throwing a Padme in there, and holding on Mace until the ROTS Anniversary in 2025.

I’ll have to see how it looks compared to the Macey Winduu being released by DrWeaponXToys though.

HT will never do this I don’t believe. They have never done a human figure that wasn’t a major actor since starting MMS. Their generic soldier days are long gone.
