What was wrong with rifle?

It's the Mando S2 rifle, too long and too much ribbing on the piece before the barrel, needs to be shortened

I’m sure Hot Toys will retool the rifle to account for a minor change unnoticed by 99.9% of the market as opposed to reusing parts that are close enough. They’d never do that…

I hope they fix the rifle and boots spats before release, I wish there was a head but not too fussed as I probably wouldn't display him helmetless anyway

Theyr inverted, the straps at the tops of the calf's are in the wrong place

I thought I was safe from unexpected figure wants from most of the Star Wars shows because after finally seeing both Mandalorian seasons, I casually enjoyed it but wasn't into it enough to start in on the line, and knew that BOBF had less positive reviews (especially around here). Maybe it's because that set my expectations so much lower then, but I'm easily enjoying BOBF more than Mandalorian and now am tempted to go for this suit, which to me looks better than his OT outfit, and pair him with Cad. Ack.

I really enjoyed BoBF, but I also went in with no real affection for BF or expectations for how he should behave. I actually preferred BoBF to the better-received Kenobi. The latter struck me as a runaround calculated so all the toys could be put back nicely, while BoBF aimed to provide some character growth.

I love the BoBF costume but had to go with the throne version because, well, throne.

This is a good way of putting it and is how I felt too. I mostly enjoyed Kenobi but preferred BOBF mainly because I felt like I was seeing a journey happen without a predetermined ending, and didn't have any prior investment in the character himself other than being a fan of his look. That throne combo is tempting and I might've sprung for it if they also offered it with the BOBF costume.

I won’t be getting BOBF version
I like few elements of the Mando Season 2 look and BOBF looks
Like the Boots,Belt,Helmet I prefer the Mando Version.
I like the form fitting pant and the Kama in BOBF

I think the both look pretty good. I didn't like the BoBF version initially but it definitely has grown on me. I like the progression from Post-Sarlacc to throne version to BoBF...

I did the same with Bespin Luke. Maybe the wait list stuff is a ploy by Sideshow but I decided that Bespin Luke wasn't a figure I wanted to continue to gamble on waiting for a deal. A couple others like the Inquisitors I'm still sitting tight and rolling the dice. Fett is, and always will be a day zero PO for me

If the pattern continues then Cad Bane should be waitlisted on Sideshow soon, followed by the Purge Trooper. Then the Inquisitors a bit after that.

They did skip over Bespin Luke, which they may be producing in larger quantities.

I just PO'ed Hunter for the same reason. These things going to Waitlist so fast these days has me really gun-shy. Anyone fence-sitting on Jesse had best be doing some hard thinking, but that's just me.

Hunter is not eligible for promo codes and that really makes me nervous. I dont know why.

He is a sharp-dressed man for sure! That's why I ordered, despite not liking most of this series. Their costume dept. really pulls out all the stops on every one of Boba's costume kits.

Based on the pattern, I feel it’s only figures that are currently in production and announced after a certain point (TBOBF 1/4 Fett) that have been getting their preorders intentionally cut off by Sideshow.

Anything already past manufacturing and recently released or on their way - Bo-Katan, Echo, Jesse, and Hunter, etc. - were likely produced in the same/similar quantities as figures currently available. They were solicited long before this new policy at Sideshow. They should be around for a bit.

No harm in preordering Hunter, Jesse, or any figures coming out in the near future of course since there are no guarantees. But it should be fine for a little while at least. It’s figures coming out in the far future that are more of a potential concern.

Sideshow limited promo code usage a while ago and Hunter is still a preorder. He’ll probably be eligible for some coupon once in stock.

this frustrated me 6 months ago in the beginning of the thread, and still frustrates me now

such an odd move to me, especially considering that the healed headsculpt is significantly different from the sarlacc ones.

maybe theyre saving it for a mando season 3 release or they’re still fine tuning the deluxe “Boba Fett and Rancor” set…

That’s Star Wars in a nutshell for me. I only really like 3 or 4 of all of the movies. About half of Clone Wars/Rebels episodes and the Mando show. And I genuinely don’t even care about the rest, but I will always buy Mandalorian armored characters
