I mean this is essentially all recycled parts.
Rex had a lot of new parts, plus a unique helmet, an extra Ahsoka paint helmet etc.
i think at the very least Jesse should have been the same price point as Rex.

Rex is a better deal by far, and also a way more important character. Not to downplay Jesse, but he’s really more of a side Clone even though I like him, and want to get the figure.

Haha, lol some words in english seems too relatable for a non-native, so it became a synonym for products, for me. Think “goods” would’ve worked better.

Wonder what HT’s are seasonal during fall-winter? Coruscant guards?

I think Jesse and Vaughan have set a bar for the pricing we can expect going forward. There are always those little hikes in price here and there…I just cannot understand how Capt Rex would cost less if not for inflation.

I think they will milk the 501st. For me personally I hope they decide to diversify the clones offered. I get everyone was hyped about the last season, but there are so many other major clones that I would love to see. Only other clone besides Rex I would get is Wolffe.

I don't think any particular HT license or product would be considered "seasonal". I believe their operating philosophy is to ask "What do people REALLY want right now?", then go and release something else.

Simple answer : Volume.

Rex is well known, they will clearly sell a ton of him = price lower
Vaughan/Jesse is nothing special to 95% of people. Plus many will draw the line at Rex+Cody. So HT will sell less = price higher

Often companies will aim to cover their overheads, minimum profit for a run etc. this then dictates the price depending on the volume.

Yes inflation may play a small role. But it is definitely not the only factor.

Indeed, Rex is the more important, central character....which tells me we may see yet another version or reissue of him down the road. We won't see another Jesse.

Rex may be the more significant character, but sometimes it can be the "look" of a character/figure that you know is going to pop on display and in pictures. Jesse is that figure...a really cool, distinctive look from the armor to the striking portrait. This is one of those figures that tells a story while you're looking at it.

Rex is cool but...for me, it's Jesse for the win.

There's also the huge price increases for shipping and manufacturing that weren't there when Rex was put up. Literally every toy or thing you buy coming from China is getting up there in price. Lots of Black Series figures are getting to be $30 for "deluxes."

Being a year and a half out and ordering from a company that SSC is trying to take out ( based on past actions) and ordering when you have to pay in full or do installments. After 6 months your gonna be out of luck if they disappear. Not trying to be doom and gloom but just saying..

Considering the lengths at which SSC is going to take them out, I'd be more worried about SSC still being around tbh.

Nobody goes to that length if they're not feeling some pain.
