1/6 Hot Toys - TMS141 - The Clone Wars: Clone Commander Wolffe

It's most definitely for cost savings, I mean 90% of the clone troopers they make are just mold reuses even if it's inaccurate. These clones are honestly Hot Toys' laziest figures next to the Iron Man recolors. And with collectors still coming in droves to buy these they have no incentive to change.

Most collectors don’t give a f*ck. So much wrong with the clones….

Cost-efficient not to at this point, but yeah it’s horrid. A shame, cause the Phase 1 helmet is sexy (personal fav phase) I would’ve gotten a few AOTC P1 shinies, but still haven’t cause of that godawful mouth-line.

IMO the AOTC shinies are perfect if you want to display them with the Phase 2 helm. It's probably one of the most accurate clones they've released next to the Coruscant guard if I'm not mistaken. Especially since they made the armor matte which is more accurate to ROTS than AOTC.

But yeah Phase 1 is my personal favorite as well which is why this is such a gripe for me lol.

IMO the AOTC shinies are perfect if you want to display them with the Phase 2 helm. It's probably one of the most accurate clones they've released next to the Coruscant guard if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, the CG is the best. I think the only thing it’s missing are the dual indents on the right chest pec (all HT clone figures do). The P2 shiny is great too, I just ughhh, I would’ve liked them with their P1 buckets. It’s still such a gripe for me too lol

I think Wolffe looks STELLAR. Yes, there's a few inaccuracies, but nothing I'm going to look at the figure on my shelf and be annoyed about. It's freaking Wolffe. His Clone brothers will stand with him soon. I'm really excited, hope that Hardcase goes up before the end of the year and I'll really be content on Clones.

I will consume it, and I won’t think twice about it. It looks great to me. I like sculpt, I really don’t see problems with the armor, the kama, I have zero idea what people are talking about. It makes no difference to me.

The helmet has some issues, yes, but it’s clear Hot Toys doesn’t care about accuracy on the helmets of these guys so I’m not worried about it. I’m not using the helmet anyway and I’d much rather have Wolffe on my shelf with some small things no one who looks at my collection will notice, over no Wolffe on my shelf.

So yes. Consume product.

And yes, you’re just not privy to the details, to what they ought to look like in live-action. Simply put.

There’s one thing to think it looks good because you’re ignorant to the inaccuracies, it’s another to acknowledge the obvious major flaws and dismiss them because “it’s Wolffe!” And laugh at others for pointing out these critiques.

If you don’t see a problem then there’s not much you can add to the conversation. Having no clue what we are talking about yet you’re the one mocking us for “complaining?”

Im happy you’re happy we’re getting Wolffe. But if you don’t care for the accuracy, nor can you even notice it, then why would it matter if they fix it? It clearly doesn’t matter if it’s accurate to you so let us attempt to get them to fix it so everyone can be happy. It’s no harm to you either way so let us have this.

They fixed Vaughn in the past. No reason to believe they won’t fix this one. And if you want to think about it being cost effective, if they fix Wolffe’s helmet they can reuse the mold for Neyo.

The entire sculpt is wrong. People bitch and moan when Batman’s lips are off but an entire helmet is a-ok

Imagine if all future stormtrooper releases were the movie suits with the rebels animated helmets in place of the movie helmets.

It was always “who cares if it’s wrong. Be happy we’re getting the character and stop complaining. If you want to accuracy, go buy hot toys” yet here we are with that same mentality starting to dribble in.

And it’s only for certain characters too I noticed. People will be quick to point out inaccuracies with iron men suits and everyone will agree it’s wrong. But point out a VALID error with a clone and it’s a sin!

As this is one of the most-wanted clones out there - people have been waiting years for Wolffe, you are damn skippy that product will be consumed.

So much complaining, speaking in general and yet HT had the grace to not only release this guy, but give us a deluxe trooper companion customizable as named characters, as well as a basic grunt. He's not out there like poor Cody, the HT version of that 52 hz whale, forever roaming alone. HT gives options this time.

Once again the best is the enemy of the good.

I feel bad for you son, i got 99 problems and a buy'ce aint one. If HT fixes this I would be fine with that, but these figures are what they are. HT has given us Echo, Fives and Wollfe this year and im frankly over the moon.

Lucasfilm didn't care because Rex was on screen for all of six seconds, and the reaction was supposed to be HOLY **** THAT'S REX!!!, which is what I'm sure 99.5% of people that know who Rex is did.

I don't think Luasfilm was worried about the .5% of people who would instantly go to armor flaws, because it was supposed to be a cool moment, and I'd be willing to bet that if there were longer battle scenes with Rex in them, the armor would have been correct.

Yes, this is a highly desirable clone. I guess that means hot toys and skip out and be lazy with it because they know people will buy it.

Its already been made aware to me that people would consume it no matter what just cause of the name of the character.

Additionally, the grunt isn’t even a grunt. But you wouldn’t know that.

For some reason, clones don’t get scrutinized by the community, but other character designs do. I seriously can’t wait for HT to do ROTS clones and if (big if) they make certain clones like Neyo, the 41st ARF Trooper or even clones with the live-action style pauldrons and kamas. Hopefully then, will people finally see the argument people like us are presenting. This would also result in inconsistency among all the clones figures, even though the TCW clones figures were made to “fit in” with the rest of live-action based figures, or so I thought….

I hope to someday be in a place in a life where my problems elsewhere are minor enough that I can put my energy into being angry about a helmet. Which, by the way, I like to imagine that Wolffe was badass enough to have his own damn visor that stood out from the rest of the Clones because he's Wolffe and he takes no crap and does what he wants, damnit. The visor doesn't bother me, nor does the rest of the helmet, because he'll either be holding it or it'll be on the ground next to him.

If Lucasfilm can’t be bothered to put Rex’s armor on the correct orientation then how are we as fans to expect them to put any care into these things?

If you people will gladly consume anything then you’re the ones enabling this.

Unless Rex is magically going to flip his arm armor I doubt it would have been correct. Even the promo poster for the episode shows the armor on backwards with the blue stripe facing outward so it was deliberately put on the wrong limbs.
