The gap is definitely there. The clearest you can see it is in the ‘accessory’ photo. The top left showing off the back equipment clearly shows the lower half of the gap on the helmet.

This is pretty much a full ROTJ re-release with the Stormtrooper Commander’s pauldron, a new harness with some new widget elements, a baton, and some new right hands.

Even so, I’ve ordered one. If Cal releases before these go waitlist, I’d probably do more. Like other commander troop releases, I bet the pauldron slips off easily and you have the regular version.

Also, the very first imperial trooper you see in the game is

a patrol trooper. It is such a close match to the Hot Toys Solo release, they probably used one for reference. HT could easily do a straight re-release. I don’t know if you see them behind the intro/tutorial-ish stuff though.

I ordered one, will be interesting to see how big of batch they will do. Would love a Cal. I’m a big fan of these troopers. Been re-playing the first game since I didn’t know survivor isn’t available for the one X. The wife has a PS5 so I may just get it for that.

I like this figure too and I’m like… 70% excited for it.

Best pairing for this figure is more of this figure technically, minus the pauldron.

The Scout Trooper is my favorite trooper, but I hesitated to buy one because I prefer to have a pairing or group of figures. I considered buying it with a Shore Trooper, but the Shore Trooper is too yellowish for my liking. The Mando Scout with the Shore Trooper comes closer in color, but the Mando doesn't have a rifle. Haha, my OCD is real, man.

Seems like a simple solution.

If Scout Troopers are your favorite troopers and you prefer to have figures in a group, then you should have a group of Scout Troopers.

Playing the game right now. And I realized a Cal would be great due to the fact we don't get many space outlaw type jedi characters other then Luke in his Bespin outfit. So this would be a huge welcome especially if the sabers are USB and come in different configuration like double blade or dual wield.

I'm calling a Cal figure with a few changeout hair pieces. Mullet included.

Actually, I liked the overall design. But no place for ranked troopers in my collection (Had the RO shore and replaced it with Mando grunt). Regarding Cal, maybe they are waiting for a live action Cal.

When it comes to SW troopers, I always liked a group of identical troops to evoke the Empire's might and conformity.

No other OT Sandtroopers is a crime against collectors.

Indeed. It was the intended look all along. The only colors you see on OT troopers are the orange pauldron on Sandies and then, later on, Emperor's Royal Guards. Everything else is white, gray, black and variations of these colors.

If they give us different sculpts I can see that. His main look his hair is short and wouldn't be interchangeable. I can also see them making multiple Cal variants given the outfits you can have him wear.

I'm not convinced we'll get Cal. Unless he gets a Mandalorian helmet and I've not found that in the game yet...
