Hair needs some touching up style-wise. Aside from that it's good to go.

Will try to pick up another one on the cheap if possible.

Just ordered the deluxe, Il have it within the week. Horrible film but great figure and one I know il be happy with on my shelf.
Minor futzing with the hair is all it needs, even jnd/ queens figures need futzing straight out the box

I agree with everyone in here, the likeness is there, but the hair is awful!
This coming from the same company that made Gamora, a figure with the perfect rooted hair for a mass product.. it's very disappointing.

Maybe they think because you can always put the helmet on it, the ugly hair will be covered anyway.
But that is no excuse, the rooted hair in here is bad.

Do I want a sculpted hair instead? no. I still prefer rooted hair, but done right!

Hence everyone should wait and see some pics done by someone who takes the time to get the hair right.

True.
Although I was hoping to get something like Gamora, which hair is already perfect out of the box without any proper futzing..

But yes.. I can't wait to see more pics of this piece!

What, take a calm, rational approach to a new release rather than hysterically jump to conclusions based on the first photos of questionable quality? Surely you jest! :lol

Yes, so far the effort (or lack thereof) that HT put into styling the hair looks rather disappointing, but there are always going to be a few wild hairs on a rooted head that need to be tamed with a bit of water. Not something to get up in arms about IMO. And leaving that helmet on for any length of time will probably push down the hair on top as well - so I'm sure there will be complaints down the road about that as well lol.

Hair futzing aside, this looks to be a stellar release. Looking forward to it!

Strongly disagree, love the rooted hair on this one. Plastic sculpted hair would have ruined the realism, the ability to slip on the helmet, and neck articulation.

I mean this looks so real. Login • Instagram

Rooted hair is the best option for this figure, but what I meant to say is the hair is poorly done. Per example Gamora was perfectly done straight out of the box.
Hot Toys didn’t care much about the hair they just assumed that everyone will display it with the helmet.
And bloggers made things worse when th these horrible horrible photos.
I am trying to figure out why there’s a huge difference between the prototype and the production photos, maybe it’s the paint or maybe the head is wider in the production I really don’t know

I highly doubt the shape or width of the head changed - that’s most certainly just comes down to what lenses were used by the photographers.

The hair looks a little smooshed by the packaging (or maybe the helmet) in some of the blogger photos, but I think other photos prove it’s certainly not beyond salvaging.

The paintwork was likely superior on the prototype but such will always be the case.
