Most of those issues can be fixed with futzing but the eyes should be aligned right? Bit unfair to call that OCD.
This isn't anything new. People were complaining about paint boogers and shiny spots on the DX19 only a few months ago. I think the complaints about the eye mechanism are warranted, they should have seen the mechanism wasn't working well and gone with independent eyes.Holy complaining Batman. In my years on the boards here I have seen some complaints but never have I seen somebody pick out every flaw or everything they didn't like on a figure
Enterbay was the first high end 1:6 company to do it I think, with their Bruce Lee, but since they didn't continue much in 1:6, HT was the only one that innovated it further.Outside of Hot Toys, I don't think we've really seen any other company (Sideshow, StarAce, Threezero, Blitzway, etc) do rolling eyes? Unless if I missed a few dime a dozen releases that had it.
No one in real life has eyes "aligned" it's accurate. Most of those issues can be fixed with futzing but the eyes should be aligned right? Bit unfair to call that OCD.
who tf you lookin at?No one in real life has eyes "aligned" it's accurate.
who tf you lookin at?
the only thing that bothers me a bit are the eyes. Is that still „acceptable“ in your opinion or do I need to take apart that PERS system to have them aligned perfectly?
Were yours more extreme though? Do you just have to remove the four little screws and then you can adjust each eye or is there more to it?I couldn't put up with the wonky eyes in mine, but was happy to just dismantle the eye mechanism and pose them individually by hand, rather than try to get it replaced.
You're correct as far as I know. Enterbay were the first to do the independent moveable eyes first though. The cycle continues though, as HT now does the independent eye system and InArt are coming in with the PERS system.I really think hot toys were the first ones to do - p e r s. Parallel eyeball rolling system. The OG DX01 Joker figure had that and I still have the figure.
The pers still work fine.
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong about hot toys being the first ones to do it
You can remove the mechanism to move the eyes separately. Also I dont think I ever bought a hot toys figure that didnt have a qc problem even if its a very small oneYou call that OCD whereas InArt is a Premium Brand??
The spot above his eyes is not a skin bumps for exemple, it's a paint defect and i never seen things like this with HT.
But the most important issue for me with this HS are the eyes, they are not aligned and i can't fix it because the 2 eyes moves togheter.
For the Jacket i will try to steam it i hope it will work
Thanks for the answer, I am following this thread but there are now more than 500 pages so I must have missed some things
Its a heath ledger figure after allHoly complaining Batman. In my years on the boards here I have seen some complaints but never have I seen somebody pick out every flaw or everything they didn't like on a figure
Seek help. Fast.Hey guys, i neeed help.
I received the InArt Joker too, great figure but i think that i have somes issues on it
Can you check and tell me if it's normal or if it's defects please?
First the jacket, it's the thing that we see the most.
I have a kind of fold, or it's a claw i'm not sure but it doesn't go away.
I'm pretty sure it's a defect because the other Jokers i've seen don't have that, and it's in front so it's visible...
On the right side I also have some kind of vertical lines, is it normal?
And behind the shoulders, it's all crumpled
The collar of the jacket, I can move one side but not the other, which is sewn or glued I do not know
Now the HS, I noticed a lot of spots (i don't know how to tell that in English) that look like warts... there's even one in the black area above the eyes.
A piece of red paint is missing here
For the hollow of the eyes, is it normal that it is not painted in black here?
The eyes are not aligned...
I think that's a lot of flaws for a "premium" brand, and it prevents me from appreciating this Joker at its true value so i wait your analyse to see what i will do
