Thanks I may try the weathering with the shirt. I have nothing but time on my hands at the moment!

Any suggestions for a good custom whip? I def see people that are a lot more realistic than the standard one

Just finished painting up my Inigo V3, and I'm definitely liking the sculpt a whole lot more now. I tried to reshape the brim as best I could to match that distinctive Raiders shape, and used some apoxie sculpt to make the front of the ribbon a bit higher and sharper like it should be. And I also found a way to tame the jacket collar a bit, by applying a strip of Fabric Fusion tape to the inside of the collar. So it's at least not sticking straight out anymore.

Just the Solo body. I hadn't wanted to use it before because it's a little bulky for a Raiders Indy, and plus the Iris shirt is really tight on it. But I needed a thicker neck for this head to look right on it, and this was the only option I had.

Yeah not only did it seem too large, but the expression a bit goofy and caricaturish as well. But once I started painting it up it began to look more like his CG render again, and the smirk actually works really well.

Yeah, there's a smirk but a lot of determination too. Unpainted it sometimes looked smily, I'm liking it quite a bit more now too, great paint work.

Solo huh? You managed to get the Iris to fit pretty well on it after all!

I'll echo every one else as well. Stunning Indy there!

And seeing the sculpt painted really does get the juices flowing with excitement!!

Really surprised to hear that the Solo body was bulky, as it looks rather slim in your pics. Looks perfect.

It does look just about the right level of skinny indeed.

Was hoping that it was another body entirely as the Solo body, unless you are fortunate enough to already have one, is near impossible to get hold of.

I'm really wanting an ideal body to put on my hero Indy but don't have the funds to continually experiment buying random bodies. Perhaps the sideshow (temple of doom) body I already have is a good enough proportional match for the Solo body and for the inigo v3 head (still to paint).........though I suspect it's still a little too muscular.

Does anyone know if any of the more widely available bodies is a good match for the Solo body?

The JXToys body would work perfectly well too and is about the same size, and those are only around $30 on ebay. I just leaned more towards the Solo for mine because of the hairier chest, and also because I'm already using my JX body for the German Disguise Indy I'm putting together.

Can't help you but I would love to see a repaint! River Phoenix is one if my favorite actors and I loved him as young Indy. I think with a good repaint it would really bring out his unique look.

Yeah I saw the repaint that Silentsurfer did in here long long ago, which is what made me see the potential it had. And I'd love to maybe try giving it some rooted hair too, since I've had a bit more practice with that now.
