It is a KOTCS jacket, and yes, it is too short, actually, it is way too short, even for KOTCS. The RAIDERS jacket is a different animal all together.

The artist is coming to my home tomorrow to look at actual jackets, I offered to do this for him before he started, but, he wanted to take a first whack at it based upon photos only.

I am an insane geek, and IF he listens to me (as in me pointing at Nowak jackets saying "just do this exactly in 1/6th scale"), all will be OK.

awesome... with Faststreets expertise with the details... your partners technical skill with fine scale sewing.. this is gonna be AWESOME...... keep us advised !!

Will he listen to you if you tell him his asking price of $250 per jacket is ridiculously overpriced?:duh

I agree and dis-agree, all at the same time. I wish I could call him my partner, but I cannot. I know him, he is good friends with my painter Sean Ho.

It is like this (in my opinion), if you don't mind, keep the jacket that came with your original figure (they are OK -- again, in my opinion). If you want a real upgrade, and don't mind the long wait, Sovereign Studio is a great option ... I have 10 of Shawn's jackets, and I won't lie, they are top quality/awesome/great. Those are expense as well, almost as much as buying a figure itself.

If you want to do a SUPER upgrade, you will get what you pay for. A real 1/6th goat skin jacket that is screen accurate is worth it to me. I have paid hundreds for Joe Strain to make me real working 1/6th and 1/4 scale bullwhips, that is not for everyone, but the point is I am not into collecting tons of different stuff, mostly Indy, so I will most likely always be upgrading them in anyway that I can.

The point is, the more options for Indy collectors the better ...

I got my TOD Indy dinner jacket taken care of. I found a tan suit in my parts bin so I used some RIT color remover on it. It ended up coming out the slightly off white color the jacket looks to be. I'm happy with it. Now I just need a flower for his lapel.

Here is the rough start to my TOD Indy... scored a HT muscle body from their Watchmen figure... I really like it for the TOD project... I dremeled all the hair off of the sideshow head and added real hair.. going for the sweaty plastered to the scalp look here... came out OK.. I matched the skin tone to the HT body and am now going back in to start building up a little bit of warm tone to it... still a ways to go... ( plus the fedora has been repainted as well... gotta darken the ribbon now.. using oils for the repaint)

Agreed, looking perfect. The body size really works with that head sculpt! But where are you going to be able to find an accurate TOD belt and holster set for him (just kidding)?

Mike, that's looking outstanding! The paintjob is really nice and I like the real hair on him, looks perfectly scale. Great work.

Great work! I normally don't like the real hair technique, but here it works perfectly! That body has turned out to be ideal for TOD Indy!

It's looking great so far mfisher. Looking forward to the finished product photo's.

Looking really, really awesome so far Mike. Nice work!

Not sure if it'll make a difference to your overall plan, but I remember reading a few posts a few weeks back that using the hat from the KOTCS Indy head (with the smaller hat) is a closer match to the TOD fedora. Just an FYI if you want to try going down that route too.
