Will he listen to you if you tell him his asking price of $250 per jacket is ridiculously overpriced?
I agree and dis-agree, all at the same time. I wish I could call him my partner, but I cannot. I know him, he is good friends with my painter Sean Ho.
It is like this (in my opinion), if you don't mind, keep the jacket that came with your original figure (they are OK -- again, in my opinion). If you want a real upgrade, and don't mind the long wait, Sovereign Studio is a great option ... I have 10 of Shawn's jackets, and I won't lie, they are top quality/awesome/great. Those are expense as well, almost as much as buying a figure itself.
If you want to do a SUPER upgrade, you will get what you pay for. A real 1/6th goat skin jacket that is screen accurate is worth it to me. I have paid hundreds for Joe Strain to make me real working 1/6th and 1/4 scale bullwhips, that is not for everyone, but the point is I am not into collecting tons of different stuff, mostly Indy, so I will most likely always be upgrading them in anyway that I can.
The point is, the more options for Indy collectors the better ...
