Unfortunately I think our only hope for new figures lies in the release of the latest movie, assuming it ever gets made. And we'll probably be lucky to get even one figure out of it.

Last month I finished my custom Dr. Henry Jones. Colors not 100% movie accurate, but quite happy with result.

Head by Rocco, painted by Mark Simpson.
Pop Toys suit, plus custom bow tie and accessories.

Ps: sorry for the quick crap phone photos...

Very nice!

Where did you get the glasses? Mine are SSC, but, they are so brittle, they broke in 3 places and I had to very, very carefully glue them to his head.

It's from Dollsfigure, bought at Machinegun:

Bought cause was the most similar to the one used in the movie, but didn't look promising on the photos. But I was really surprised when it arrived though, looked much better and fitted the head nicely...

That's an awesome Henry Jones Snr and a great find on the glasses. The Sideshow ones are so flimsy and easy to break.

Thanks for that! I get the feeling I may just have bought the last pair. At least folks know what to look out for now.

Which Pop Toys suit is that, please? I'd love to get one for my Henry. Cheers!

My Iris jacket with the collar sewn down.

@davejames

Thanks. I appreciate that.

I kept putting it off but eventually decided to do as little weathering as I could on it. It is mostly on the pockets and the seams. It is an awesome jacket and I wish I had picked up another one as it looks really great zipped up as well.

Agreed, what product did you use to do the weathering, dry brush with acrylics? Looks like you hit the appropriate spots to give it an aged feel.

I just use basic acrylic paints. I use the exact same brown for the jacket and also his hair and stubble. I wet the brush and put a little bit on and then smudge it in with my fingers. You can really get it nicely into the seams of the jacket by doing that. I do the exact same thing with stubble as well. I always find it works a treat. It gives it a more subtle look I find.

:duff I still need to weather my Iris jacket. I got some Stiffen Quik to try and add creases but it didn't really take, looks similar to if I just scrunched the sleeves up for a day. I'll give it another go. Can't tell if I need to use a lot more or leave it to set for longer than what the instructions say.

I would have left the collar tips as was, in some scenes, the collar is almost flat against his shoulders:

As the jacket is leather, or equivalent, then I would say the best way to weather it would be to use a fine grade wet and dry sandpaper and lots of water. You can simulate genuine wear that way.

@Rogerbee

Yes I was not quite happy with how high up I got it to begin with and was thinking of messing around with it.

Update: I tinkered with the collar on my Iris jacket again. I sewed down the right collar flatter on the jacket and removed the thread from the left collar and have let it hang loose again to give it that haphazard just thrown on look. I'm pretty happy with it now.
