Here are a couple pics of the jacket. It's a fairly simple design. It would be really cool if you could make this with the zippers in the proper scale. I don't have pics of the pants just now but will try to post later. Please let me know what you think.

Kato, how much do you charge for something like the Mad Max set ? jacket and pants ? I think there's a market for that set, at least in this forum, I'd LOVE to buy one.

I don't think there is a market to offer this set. The leather is terribly expensive :

And what about fake leather ? We can explore some options here, like Mollins said, would you do a small batch if there are like 5+ people interested in it ?

It's the only thing that's been holding me up for over a year, and I would really like to finish my Road Warrior figure while I'm still young enough to enjoy it!

If you could work up an estimate and give us a general idea how much you think it would cost to make these, I think you'll soon find out how many people are interested and how much they'd be willing to pay for a good set of screen accurate leathers for their their Mad Max / Road Warrior customs. You won't know until you try!

Well, for starters, here's a link to the original "interest" thread. It's about 80 pages of posts, but I recommend skimming all the way through it, 'cause there are lots of good pics of some amazing customs that can give you an idea of what the costume looks like. I'll try to post some links to some of the Mad Max fan sites that should have some more pics of the 1:1 scale costume.

This is a sample of a costume another member of the board was going to make for us. The zipper is much too large, but it should give you a pretty good idea of what a 1:6 scale outfit looks like.
