The other day Ryan told me that he has been shipping them out on the weekends and the last should ship out during the current weekend (8/15-16)

Just hope i'm in the "last" batch...lol...been getting rather worried lately....

Yep thats right I am the second coming of C. Howes. Everyone is so quick to freak out now and label someone a crook. Thats all anybody wants to hear on the board these days. The negativity on the boards is so awesome now. I love how you can do tons of projects for people and they are happy and so forth then you hit a stumbling block and everyone calls for your head on a block. Even though I am not supposed to comment on this project anymore here due to the new rule change, here it is. Yes these have started shipping out. Now they all haven't shipped yet. Mainly because I had a super busy past few weeks at me real job and have been getting these knocked out as I get home in the evenings. Not that any of this matters to people. I do my best to keep my PM box from filling up everyday and reply as often as I can. After this project is out the door (which I so can't wait for) I am done with customs for a while. No this isn't another artist that can't handle the pressure threads, this is a the place I used to love to come and hang out sucks right now thread.

Well I fully understand concern esp when you pay money for something and you are waiting on it esp after recent events. And I know that I don't get to answer my PMs as quick as I used to and I was delayed on this project, in fact I originally got behind when I decided to enlarge it a little due to the fact I was worried people would be upset it was too small. I honestly didn't expect work to boom up like it did right after that. Oh well its almost over now anyway.

As i said earlier, i am/was worried this thread could turn into another one of THOSE threads (quad era demonstrandum - the C. Howes threads) as, from my long running friendship with our resident Vader-Maker i know how stressful the hobby can be...and how real life gets in the way faaaaaaaar to often for our liking...

At least we know they are going out/gone out so soon people will be abaited, happy...and quiet...

I dont think my perminant hang over could handle more witch hunts...

Well, I don't think this is a witch hunt. And since someone brought up C. Howes, I will say if you read the threads, it tooks MONTHS for the faithful to actually lose faith in him...and it only started to wane after he ceased to communicate with his customers.

Now this hasn't exactly reached those levels yet of one of THOSE threads. I think folks are asking legitimate questions when Ryan says the heads were shipped out a couple weeks ago and no one seems to have received one yet

THATS the problem! No one is freaking out, just want accurate info. If they haven't been sent out, they haven't been sent out. Its as simple as that. Can't brow beat a guy for having to attend to his real life...at least I wont...well maybe the guy who left Ryan a negative would

I've said it once and I will say it again, buyers should accept the time it takes for these customs to be created and that time frame should be accurately stated by the customizer. At the same time, customizers would do themselves justice by taking a page out of Les' book by just keeping guys up to date should those dates and/or time frames change.

I don't think most guys around here are very impatient but they do hold guys to their word...afterall, that's all we have around here. This whole thing exist on the honor system cause most customs take longer than the paypal dispute period anyway and you have to accept that going in.

I appreciate you commenting on this Ryan and it would be great of you to let us know when we should start seeing these show up...cause I know Josh is frekkin tired of me asking him, "...is it there yet?"

I've received several PMs from members concerned about this project and reassured them that Ryan is not Howes, and has always been very reliable and I have the utmost faith in him. I know I'm extremely eager to get this but not at all concerned and he has answered every one of my PMs promptly.
I think status updates are fine, but the assumptions of lying and theft aren't helpful at all. I understand people are on edge, but we need to give people the benefit of the doubt and look at their total body of work here. Sadly I don't think anyone realizes just how many requests were put in for this.
A similar sentiment has been going on in the Pinkerton FX Pennywise thread. With one major difference of course that BV is a long standing and contributing member. People cannot put him in the same category as Howes or even Pinkerton.

I have no problem about non responding to PMs or don't keeping updates everyday as long as I get what I ordered. So if it takes time, that mean it worth the wait. Otherwise we got the Paypal refund insurance.

and the chance to swap out "Stunt Double Sam" for the "real deal" is worth every second....

I don't think anyone has suggested that Ryan is CH or a thief or a crook.

He has been very reactive to my pms and I would assume he is with others. The issue arrises when the information you request is different from the reality of what is possible. I was told (and I REALLY appreciate the prompt responses from Ryan) that the sculpt had shipped. Of course after waiting almost two weeks and it still didn't show, that's gonna prompt more pms and more questions...that's really not a surprise is it?

I would assume that is most folks concern. I requested to have mine sent directly to the painter so the shipping process in kinda out of my hands. I just have to keep Josh in the loop since he agreed to accept this for me.
