I wasn't able to get the traditional 89 joker figure from Mars, but this will still be a great match to the new HT Keaton to represent the movie on the shelf.

After a very long road from far, far away, the Joker managed to saunter into my home yesterday.

We did not shake hands...

Thanks all!

As has been said, awesome figure. So much fun... and just so eye-popping on display.

I spritzed his trousers to see how they'll hang once dry, but everything else is basically right out of the box. So I still have to futz his tie, maybe follow davejames and get rid of the upper part of the fatsuit (it does bulge alot), and pick some hands... and then of course build up my Museum/Partyman Joker.

Lots of Joker madness to come...

Glad you finally have yours. Mine just landed in the U.S. today. Crazy how Alfred shipped 9 days after Joker, but he's being delivered tomorrow.

Yeah, shipping is nuts. This Joker took 14 days to get to me from Kit, and yet Humungus took only 5 days from Kit.

Awesome photos, everyone!

The Nicholson’s are multiplying! These figures are too good to leave so many extra pieces in a box. As I used the orange shirt and body from this release for my museum Joker, I went ahead and threw the mob suit on a spare generic body with a black collar shirt I had laying around to keep the flesh tone sculpts on display.

I now have three ‘89 Jokers and no ‘89 Batman. I really hope the 2.0 releases in the earlier part of its window to balance my shelf out lol.

What a lineup! I should have a proper tie for Partyman next week. Gotta rearrange my shelves to fit all this 89 goodness now.

The use of clear acrylic rods makes such a difference. Can't understand why Hot Toys, Mars Toys and the rest haven't switched to those from the thick black plastic they use.

The clear rods Definitely creates a more immersive experience and the illusion these are not just “toys.”

With the all black crotch grabbers/waist grabbers, if you have a black display case or background, they tend to blend in and are not as apparent.

Also i cover my risers (reuse my figure boxes) with black velvet cloth - it tends to hide the stands pretty well too.

I’ve now stopped using stands unless they are essential for a dynamic pose, scenic diorama types or have a clear acrylic rod.

The solid, black bollard between a figures legs just offends me.

If I could justify the shipping and customs charges, I’d only have coco stands.

Exactly how I feel. It's crazy those thick chunks of plastic are still so commonplace in 2024.

I'm also trying to avoid the large diorama stands Hot Toys seem to be moving towards. As good as they look, I know they'll end up in storage sooner or later. A diorama that could fit maybe 2-3 figures, the BvS trinity for example, would be interesting but one for every figure is just too much of a space hog.

Generally the more minimalist a stand the better.

Che formazione! Dovrei avere una cravatta adatta per Partyman la prossima settimana. Devo riorganizzare i miei scaffali per adattarli a tutta questa bontà adesso.

Incredible shot. Beautiful set. Where I can find those stand and eventually, those customized plates? Best regards :subdolo:
