1/6 scale horse

I was wondering why sideshow hasn't released a 1/6 scale horse for all of our horse riding military figures. It seems like a natural progression. Any reason. I'm sure it would be an incredible hit.

As an avid Planet of the Apes enthusiast I agree with you about the horses because we need them but Dragon-Models puts out a decent one already which you can still get individually for about $35-$40. Sideshow’s US Cav. 6th Michigan Bugler and the CS Cav. 1st Virginia Cavalry look great on these.
It would most likely be more costly for SS to try and duplicate this great sculpt as well as having to make a multitude of saddle variants from McClellan, western to your general all purpose saddle. The next issue would then fall on designing all the different horse blanket schemes.
The few minor problems I find with Dragon-Models horse is that its neck position can not be adjusted and it only comes in one color. Making horses would be a great idea and very welcomed by probably most collectors. Image where you could go with this if SS made Native American Indians? *Insert whistle here.*

I think this is the Dragon Model one (it says "DML", is that Dragon?).

Yes Migwit. DML is Dragon. I think it stands for Dragon-models Limited. I have two of these horses and plan to one day get more. They're great but you better make sure you have the room.

Uuum, good question. Perhaps in the $50.00 to $80 dollar amount. That might be reasonable.

I have a DML horse too and he looks just a tad too big for the Ape figures to me.

The Power Team horses work very well and are much less expensive than Dragon's Blitz. They usually sell for $24.99 and come with a uniformed rider and some accessories. They can sometimes be found on KB's site on sale for $14.99 [and lower] too.

I suppose if one doesn't want the white/grey color, these could easily be painted. Not a bad price for a horse AND rider!

Might anyone have a better picture of the Power Team horse? all they ever show is the white one. My concern is the long messy mane. It looks too unrealistic to me, but I could be wrong. Pictures don't always tell the whole story.

Protozauis the horse might seem a little too big for your apes because they are shorter in size compared to Taylor who is correctly 1:6. He looks great on it, IMO. Try adding some accessories to the saddle like netting or rope, these will help take the focus off the damn dirty ape.

P.S. SSC please make some 1/6 scale horses.

I dusted my old Johnny West horses off and brought them up from their long slumber in my basment and they look great with the Apes on them!

Dr. Zaius do you have any pictures? I've always wondered about the Marx horses. They're pretty hard to find in good condition around these parts. I wish I had those when I was a kid. I Only had the Lone Ranger's Silver and Tonto's horse by Gabreil.

I always found the Marx horses to be too small for true 1:6. I use them for females and younger "aged" figures.

Are they too small for the dirty little apes? How are their saddles? If I remember correctly wasn't everything a glossy plasctic?

Do you mean the dirty little Mego's? They wind up a little big for them. Although Mego did make there own POTA stallion. And that one walked onits own.
The BOTW one just seems better suited for 10" figures to me.
