Sweet work on Kenobi Parker :rock

Here's a picture of mine... still need to take better ones, but this will do for now.

Just a bit of padding to his stomach and water treated the robes. I should have given them a tea bath first, but I forgot that step :lol

I really like how the Jedi robes look after the water treatment... they just lay so much nicer.

While cycling through what i have on display i only just noticed after owning old ben for so long that i have two right hand boots...doh...anyone got one with two lefties? (also have two left straight arms for numa from the waxer and boil set)

Man, that would be a sad thing to discover.

I can't imagine you'd find one boot... so you'd either have to buy a pair (which I think would be pretty expensive) or maybe find an alternative.

It's not the exact color, but I think these leatherlike boots would work pretty well and actually increase the articulation.

What is a "tea bath" and the "water treatment"? Thanks!

A tea bath is where you make a very strong cup of hot tea (the darker the better) and let the clothing sit in it for 5 or more minutes. Then rinse it out and let dry either hangning, or on the body once it's mostly dry. This gives it a bit more color and a wor/dirty look.

And water treatment is silmilar in that you get a figure's clothing wet (either while still on the figure, or not) and then shape the clothing while it's wet. When the clothing dries it will hold the folds and creases you put into it. This is particularly important with the Jedi Robes since they will just kind of stick out, but you can get them to be more molded to the body and look like they have the weight of actual clothing.

Here's a good tutorial on it from Rebelscum. One word of caution though, remove any accessories (like belts, or metal bits) that might stain the clothing or be damaged.

He varies quite a bit... I think low-end $125 up to over $200.

Speaking of which I just completed another repaint... I believe this is my 5th crack at him :lol

you painted that same head 5 times! Whao! It does look good.

Yeah, he's a popular one... I started with my own, then a few commissions, another one for myself and now this one :lol I think normally it would be tedious to paint the same head, but not only is it a fantastic sculpt but there's so much detail and character in is face that it's always fun to do.

I believe I have at least 1 or 2 more I've been asked to paint, so we'll see how he evolves over time :lol
