Is the Iron Monger Cheap? How bout the Samurai Predator? All more expensive than this statue. Even most figures hot toys are releasing now-a-days are near as expensive as this one. While I will admit, Hot Toys has better paint apps...they are still just action figures ( do not get me wrong, I own both the Monger and Samurai....they are incredible ). This is a $300 statue and for terms of what you are getting...it is cheaply priced IMO. If it was painted on par with Hot Toys...I think it would have to cost 450-500$, possibly more.
Painted by a very talented artist I would imagine you would be paying $600+ easy.

If it's a $300 statue and you think it would need to be priced at $500 to have the same quality of paint apps as Hot Toys, that means that it's current paint app is worth...well...nothing.
You've got to realize that there are $10-$20 Hasbro toys in Walmart with paint apps that could unfortunately be considered "high-end" nowadays.
The axe and other metallic parts of this statue look $300 worthy, everything else? Not even close. The body, especially the head is very bland and lifeless. This is a nice paint job for a $150 statue.

I have one more payment on this Pred. It's not that bad. It's no Joe Dunaway paint job,but it doesn't cost as much. I think the paint apps on The Samurai Pred are better. One saving grace it is a Narin sculpt!

That's right The proto was painted by Joe Dunaway. The production pieces are painted using his style There is no way Joe could paint 1500 pieces in the time allowed for deliveries

so did you get yours yet ? mine has been in my house for over a week but I don't get home till the 11th....just going to touch up mine till I'm happy with it..after all..it's still a Narin sculpt

Nor could sideshow afford to pay Joe to paint 1500 pieces and still make a profit from selling these at what they charge.

Guys you're right! I still think it's a great piece,(no I haven't received it yet,later this week) the paint job is pretty good from what I've seen. I think the original unpainted kit of which 99 were made cost $369.00 It is my understanding that Sideshow acquired the mold master from Narin to produce the statue ...so 299.00 painted is pretty good..

Anyone got a shipping notification from SS? They haven't charge me on my last flex pay, so I would assume this would take 2 more weeks to delivery.
Anyways, this will be my first statue and I'm pretty excited about it, its a great lookin piece for what it is. I have so much respect to Narin.

I know that in stock items if ordered that day before 2 PT are shipped out the same day(I ordered the T-800 that way) as far as the last flex payment I not sure if it works out the same way .My last flex is today and I would assume it would be shipped today. From where I live it takes four days to get here. You live closer so I don't think it will take as long as you think
