until the HT release one, that is.

Even if HT releases their Snowtrooper I'll keep the Sideshow one. That is not going to happen to the Sandtrooeprs and Scout, which will be most likely sold as soon as HT releases their versions. But the SSC Snowtrooper is a fantastic figure.

I've been thinking about getting a E-web cannon for my Snowtrooper. Found one for about $275 is it worth it?

I passed on it for far less. The problem is that if you get it, it commits you buying at least one other snowie, more like another two if you want to do it right. It's just too much money for a fairly niche display.

And I like the SSC snowie, but don't love it (huge hands, off helmet/goggle sculpt, too "fat" overall) - and there's a decent chance HT will do an ESB snowie, which means they'd possibly do an e-web to go with it and it'd likely be cheaper than the after-market SSC e-web prices.

I love the e-web moment in the movie, but I'm not sure I wanted to have to set up a 2' by 2' permanent display space for it and pay around $600 even at the long-gone original release prices. Even though I LOVE seeing pics of everyone else's e-web/snowie displays.:lol

so are the snowtroopers going to be re-released? Kinda silly if they aren't.

Think I'd wait for Hot Toys though even if they were.

Yes (99.9% certain)... and yes (though it will be another year at the very least.)

Although... a SSC Snowie re-release may actually indicate a HT snowie on the horizon. Didn't they re-release the DX Vader as the HT Vader was announced?

And I say it over and over - the SSC Snowie is a pretty average figure. As can be seen in the custom above (and the need to do those mods,) the helmet is off, the figure is fat, the hands are huge - yet, still a decent enough figure overall.

What is the difference between the original web blaster and the limited edition of 2000 they are releasing now?

$10:cuckoo:
I'd need a couple more snowies too (actually thought they were too much at the time too), but I have a cool print that sooo tempts me...

I hope the e-web rerelease means some more snowies. I wasn't completely sold on the figure even though it got rave reviews and I'd really rather have a Snowtrooper commander with the clean outfit and smooth face hood. Otherwise I'd like to see what HT comes up with.

I hope they do re-release their version of the Snowtrooper...

Still really dig this one...

...just change out the mask/shroud and alter the distressed deco a bit and we'd have a "new" figure to accompany the re-release of the e-webb...

Yeah, I'm casting my HT Snowie helmet when it arrives for a new helmet for my SSC Snowie, and I'll copy the shroud pattern from the HT. I already have the material.

Also using the cast for my ATST driver custom, and for a Veers (I had hoped SSC would do him, but that ship sailed.)

Replaced the rubber face mask/cover from the helmet. Might replace the gloves and boots When Hot Toys releases their version of the Snowtrooper. Looking forward to adding to the ranks. Might even make a gun crew for the good 'ol E-WEB cannon!
