Very bad looking and pricy figure. Canon is too pricy too. Pass and pass.

Many thx, SSC. You can't even recreate such a trashy design right. Not talkin' bout justified prices.

I'm guessing the extra $15 over clones is due to all the fancy cloth tailoring. Just look at those boots. Something I'd expect on a Hot Toys figure.

I'm really beginning to think Sideshow is getting out of control on thier prices. Can anyone tell me why he's $15 more then the Utapu Airborne?

Because the Utapau Airborne recycles a lot of parts, the Snowtrooper looks to be all new parts.

If SS didn't have plans to re-issue IG-88 as IG-87, IG-86 or whatever else other IGs appear in the Clone Wars. . . .then IG-88 probably would've been over $200.

From that pic it looks like the trooper is doing the river dance.

Besides the basic price gouge for OT things..... the Snowtrooper is basically one-off. Airborne has a lot of reuse.

Yep, thats the only reason really. The Snow trooper is basically all new and a one-off. Its for the R&D more than what actually comes in the box. The Airborne trooper is basically just a new head and existing clone parts. Clones remain fairly cheap due to the low overhead on creating a new one.

Pass for now. I'll wait for production pictures since I don't really care for a gun that was never seen in the film. That said... $150 for the E-Web!? That's nucking futs!

The more I look at the sculpted face scarf the more it looks wrong.

I hate tosay it, but I'm likely replacing it with some thin white vinyl or something closer to the source.

Again, I shouldn't have to for $150... but what the hell. Maybe SS will think again on the sculpted face sheath.

I don't know man, by the time it is soft enough and thin enough to have people make their crinkled look, don't you think you're asking for somethign prone to ripping and then cracking/peeling down the road?

Then loose the crinkle, and just make it thin enough to be flexible and crinkle naturally. use fabric instead. the way it is right now looks really bad in any pose except standing in a relaxed pose.

I respect the fact that it will be your doll to customize as you all see fit...but personally...I think this looks dead on....

Problem is if you buy additional troopers they are all going to have the same identical mask wrinkles and they will all look like Hasbro 3 3/4" figures on a shelf at 12" scale.

That point i can see. For my part, i will only be able to get one and this one so far meets my expectations.
:peace

Hope Silent visits the thread. Looks like he painted the E-Web, so I'd be curious what he thinks to the value of the piece.
