Smart guy, Flosi. Too bad for you guys in CA. You really get screwed on those exclusives.

And speaking of exclusives, that Snowtrooper ex is awesome! Almost seems too essential to me!

Have to agree... anything throwback to Kenner is a must-have for me. And honestly it's a pretty cool looking weapon :rock

As long as it looks good it doesn't really matter... Still, I'm out on the cannon unless I can score it for a much lower price.

Same here, if I can't get it for at least under $100 I won't bother. And even then I'm not sure it makes the cut.

What's odd to me is this is $150, which is half the price of the Dewback and only $100 less than Yoda's Hut. I know those pieces are 1 and 2 years old now, but still no reason a much smaller and more basic item would be so much.

Part of it is sentiment, too, as I had a couple of small die-cast Civil War cannons I got as a kid when we went on vacation through the colonial states.

Yeah, die-cast certainly has that nice 'ol timey feel to it... but for 1/6 collectibles is just not a great idea due to the cost and weight. I've had a few figures with die-cast weapons over the years and a 9 times out of ten the additional weight makes the arms sag or not hold a pose.

That wouldn't be an issue here, but I just can't see a reason to make it metal :huh

They make their own. Here is my own 1:1 MonCal Snowtrooper helmet - an older pic:

Very nice; homemade? Damn, that's way more talent that I have

Will wait on this one. I'm not digging the helmet on these. Granted, the snowtroopers have always been my least favorite SW 'stormtrooper' design, so that my play into it.

I agree about not "digging" the helmet, it looks a bit undersized (at least the sides seem too short).

I gotta say that my order of fav armored imperials is this:

Tie Pilot - any variation
Biker Scout
Snowtrooper
At-At Driver
Stormie
Sandtrooper (tie with Stormie)

But really, love em all equally

I am a sucker for weapons as the EX item, I guess....way more interested in those than a 'Fett' base. Now that said, i do dig Sideshow doing bases with a hoth base, and sand base for Sandtrooper - that makes a lot of sense

So, if the E-web Cannon is $150, does that mean the Probot is gonna cost $1500? LOL

Confirmed plastic?

Where the heck would you put a 1:1 E-web?!!? :panic:
That would be awesome, though, and quite the display, especially in your collection, jkno!

I would buy it. Then again airsoft makes movie guns that really shoot. Own a number of those. Just be careful. I did have SWAT at my house last year.

Like everyone else passed. $50 give me 4. $150 they can keep them.

C'mon, TDA, you can do better than a cheap response like that. What do you think is a fair price and what is your opinion based on? If you wouldn't be interested in a piece like this, why do you care? As another example, Jabba's throne was $200.00 for a relatively simple slab of polystone. What seems so unreasonable about this?

Haha. But I didn't pay $200 for just his throne. But let's not forget the hookah and the finest throw pillows in all of Tatooine! :rotfl

But I feel $300 for the Snowtrooper and E-Web is unreasonable when for the same price... one can get a HT DX Luke. Or a Dewback and Sandtrooper now. I think a reasonable E-Web price would be $225 for Snowtrooper with E-Web or maybe $100 for the E-Web separately. I personally still don't see myself springing for a $100 E-Web, but I feel it's more reasonable.

I just own one Sideshow Star Wars piece at the moment (the 1/6 501st blue clonetrooper). Looking to make this my second. I'm a sucker for Hoth stuff, that's for sure.

Yeah, I get the sticker shock with the E-Web but also am thinking there's a lot of detail to it and maybe quite a small run for them to recoup the costs. I agree it would've been wise of Sideshow to offer the Snowtrooper and the E-Web together at a discounted price, as a sort of DX Snowtrooper package. I'm still in for the E-Web as there's little in the way of accessories for 1:6 and I think once in hand I'll be OK with the price. I do suspect though that it'll probably end-up getting heavily discounted in the future for those that are patient.

do we know what the e-web cannon is made of yet? Plastic or polystone? I hate polystone for the 1/6th line.

Its just plastic. It's just over priced. Like all of Sideshow's "extras" always have been... from Jabba's throne to the Emperor's chair to this.

And polystone IS a plastic.... a plastic resin with a 'fancy' name.
