Wolffe, Storm Shadow Assassin, V2 Cobra Commander (hooded head) and Catwoman. I think it can work fine, but it seems the opt for a dead center eye placement, when usually the top of the iris is hidden behind the lid and you can almost see the bottom of the iris.

I just found this image in the DC thread... not for the faint of hear, but gives you an idea of how it's done:

I guess Snake would be the same. I just hope they get the pupil placement right, just meeting the upper lid. But, I doubt it and he will most likely be slightly looking down like Drake.

To be honest, I've been worried about this figure long before the Nathan Drake fiasco. That whole ordeal has only made me MORE nervous. It is just my opinion, but I don't think Sideshow does realistic human faces very well. I look at a lot of their human Star Wars figures and the likeness really isn't there on most. Even the Snake prototype doesn't really nail the likeness, but it was close enough for me to accept. They seem to do better with stylized sculpts such as those on their GI Joe and DC figures. Hopefully some in-hand pics or reviews show up online before mine ships so I can cancel my pre-order if it turns out bad.

I get what they're going for with the separate eyes and it's a good concept, but it seems best suited for generic/cartoony likeness like Cobra Commander, Wolffe, Catwoman, etc. When they have a specific likeness that they need to capture, like Ford or Hamill, I could see the process distorting the sculpts to an unacceptable degree. Both Luke and Han are $200.00 a piece, plus for many of us a Tauntaun @ $350.00, so $750.00 all in. Sideshow best get prepared for a massive wave of cancellations on all of the above if Luke and Han turn out like Drake. *shudders*

Really I'd be happy with painted eyes. Whether it's Hot Toys, SSC or Beto, I think in most instances the likeness is stronger w/sculpt and paint. Like Snake said, they're overcomplicating things (in an effort to achieve more consistency, ironically).

Maybe snake will be fully sculpted, not that seperate eye crap. its just one eye, no teeth so maybe they wont messed with it. but seeing the proto pic I this this head is already sculpted with the separate eyes.

this a drake picture that has two right cheeks and see that the left side is distorted.
