pretty good he doesnt need the stand to be able to stand up on his own. he does have a improved joints from my utapau trooper

Ah crap.... I'm going to have to try to snag a parted out ankle joint off of Toy Anxiety or the Bay now....:banghead

This one should be wobbly and the original Stormtrooper should have the tight joints.

Why do the SW gods hate the original fans so?

I couldn't agree more. This figure is awesome, and congrats to everyone who bought him, but I want my run of the mill Stormtroops to be perfect, and it hurts to see a video game character (from a game I didn't really dig much) be of a higher quality then one of the most iconic characters in the origianl trilogy.... ok, done ^^^^^^ing... :D

Oops! Wait a minute. There it is! :lol

Should be here next Wednesday. :)

Nice! Hopefully that means BBTS won't be far behind if they're shipping from SS.

On a side note if these come out like my ST then I'll be more than happy.

Well, I've got the same problem I had with the Utapau Clone.

When I extend the leg straight out like he just punted a football, the leg doesn't stay and flops immediately right back to the original position.

Frustrating as all hell...:thwak

That is an easy fix on the Stormtroopers as the armor comes off easy. Take the screws out of the buttplate, remove it and put some fabric (I cut out and stuck a small piece of a fabric band aid/ace bandage) on the disks of the legs or the plastic wall between them that are on the inside of the hips to create additional friction and tighten the hips up.

Check this out for help.

Thanks for the tip. When I took the buttplate off, I discover the source of the problem. One of the discs was broken.

Got my Commander today. I really really like him. The weathering is top notch and the paint wash makes the armor pop. The joints are most definitely tighter on the Commander than the regular Stormtrooper. They also added a velcro strap to keep the chest and back armor closer to the body. Great improvement.

I am very pleased with this figure and am glad to add it to the collection.

Now for pics. Note to self, next time use a bright/white backdrop.

Looks really good. Was tempted to get him, but I know little to nothing about him other than he's in a video game. With so many things coming out that I really do want this guy was easy to pass on. It's really nice to be able to be so clear cut on a decision to purchase or not to purchase something.:D

Zero interest in this fig, but glad to hear improvements are being made. Gives me hope for the sandie.

just got on the waitlist and i hope it converts soon, this fig looks great. i had it ordered but had to cancel cuz i thought i wanst gonna make it due to having other stuff arriving.

Can you tighten up the velcro pieces anymore than that?

J, only one side has a velcro...the other side has an elastic band. So to tighten it more, you will need to take it off and reglue it.

As a side note, the chest armor still needs the boil treatment to make it look nice and tight. I think if you did that and reposition the straps it will look its best, but just boiling the chest armor makes the difference enough to me.

Ah I see. I have some velcro that I bought to fix my ST chest area. So I'll just remove the elastic band and replace it with the velcro that I have.

Thanks Lee.
