I love how thenam changes his tone completely between the INDY and G.I. JOE sections when it comes to giving Sideshow the benefit of the doubt based on their own public statements.
I love how many times you talk out that culo. For the record, I've not once said that the Joe line is dead. Just that the pacing will kill the line eventually. And we both know it will as it did with LOTR. But then, you'd know that if you did more than the occasional drive-by brief. This line is dead. Believe what you want, but the nail in the coffin will be the lackluster sales from the TOD 1:6 mine cart environment Sideshow releases with no accompanying 1:6 Indy.
Indeed it would. But I'm not cutting that particular rope bridge until we get to it. thenam certainly has reason and Sideshow history on his side here, but... it's still just a guess. And he could just as easily be proven wrong ala The Josh with his previous LOTR line longevity predictions.
Nah, he chicken littles in the Joe section too.
I know Sideshow would never do this, but would it really be a disaster if they would release a 1:6 figure maybe once a year, among the rest of the Indy offerings (PFs, dios, replicas, etc.)? I know momentum and hype are important to keep interest alive, but I would think it would be okay to release a great figure once in a blue moon instead of never again.
I mean, what LOTR fan wouldn't buy a great 1:6 Gimli now after all this time? I know Sideshow would miss out on those crossover casual collectors, but if they made the edition sizes more limited then I would think they would still sell out.
Just askin'.
He's just a "*****babby."
I hate these guys.
