I read an online interview with the Product Enterprise head honcho a few months back, and he said it had been pushed back into '07 but was still on the cards. Their site is being updated now, so hopefully all will be revealed.

Maybe we'll find something out at Toy Fair - I'm hanging out for it too!

My question is, is that Baker really a true 1/6 scale figure? I hear it is somewhat smaller...
If it's really 1/6, I'm on it! Just wary. Any absolutes about it yet?
Just curious.

It should be close, I have their Hammer Dracula. And he is a smidge short for a 1/6 figure (a bit shorter than the SS Dracula, but not as bad as Medicom)... which is a bit compounded since Lee is such a giant in real life.

Great HS and paintapps but I am not digging the material for the scarf so much.. If I get it I may pose him without it. (!! Tom Baker with no scarf!!!????? What sacrilage!!!).

Yes, it is smaller, about 8". I actually bought this for my friend, a big Dr. Who fan, a couple of years ago. I purchased it from Dr. Who store. He's been out awhile so maybe it's taking longer to import to the US?

Talking 4th Doctor and K-9 figure set.

k94thdoctor.gif

Highly detailed figures with authentic charactor accessories. The Doctor stands 21cm (over 8 inches) tall.

Over 30 seconds of classic phrases featuring the voice of Tom Baker including:
- I'm a Time Lord - I've been around you know, 2 hearts, respiratory by-pass system ... I haven't lived 750 years without learning something!
- It may be irrational of me, but human beings are quite my favorite species.
- Your mind is beginning to work - it's entirely due to my influence of course, you mustn't take any credit!
- To the rational mind nothing is inexplicable - only unexplained.
- Anyone for a Jelly Baby?

Talking K-9 with authentic commands featuring the original actor's voice including:
- I am K-9 - I too have offensive capabillities - retreat retreat!
- Affirmative Master.

Highly detailed display box with the image of the TARDIS.

:lol Any interest I had just went out.

It's a cool set. If you're a fan of Tom Baker like I am, you will love it. However, it is NOT for 1:6 collectors.

It does look like a cool set. I just thought it was funny that the TARDIS is just a cardboard print out. Not an actual toy.

Product Enterprise will be at the US NY Toyfair this weekend, so hopefully updated release news will trickle out. They also mentioned if the Tom/Revenge Cyberman was successful enough, they might do a Zygon next.

So much time has passed since last year, and Character Options "New Doctor Who" 12" line seems to have been doing well enough, I am hoping this has inspired PE to go ahead and add the Zygon anyways and that maybe he will be shown at the US Toyfair. Guess we'll know soon enough!

(Also, CO is supposed to hold the Sarah Jane Adventures licence, so there is nothing to stop them from making a 12" Sarah if they wanted. They already have stated their 12" Who range is geared more towards collectors, so who knows?)

That's different than this 12" I'm talking about, which has not been released yet.

This is the one we're talking about. It looks like it will have a better likeness and build quality than the shorter one.

Right. The smaller one people are talking about has been out a while. The new one will be 1:6. Check the Product Enterprises website and you'll see both. When they finish updating it and reopen, that is.

Looking at that second picture makes me wonder whether Eccleston was channeling Tom Baker. I've never seen the Tom Baker Doctor.

Not quite the same ones as last year, but close. Last years Cyberman wasn't in Cyberleader colors so that's nice to see, even though we were told about it..
