Fantastic!! I think I mentioned in one of the other threads that this is the ONE Vietnam War movie Character I absolutely wanted.

Everything looks great if not acceptable to me minus the tape on the M16 Hopefully it doesn't come with that pre-put from the factory. The sculpt is not perfect but I'll take it.

Robert Duvall has always been a favorite actor of mine. He reminds me of my grandfather and he'd make a great figure to pair with this guy.

It would have been awesome if they included the dossier and an extra camouflaged head.

Sure would be nice if they did Elias since they seem to be doing celebrity sculpts.

I’d put money down that Col. Kurtz and Kilgore are coming. Of the two, I’d say Kilgore is the better bet as Air Cav.

Or maybe they just do one major character from each show, but they’re missing some cash cows if they hold to that. Barnes, Elias, Kurtz, Kilgore are present great opportunities for them to blitzkrieg my wallet, if you pardon the anachronistic reference to vietnam. Maybe the Operation: Arc Light my wallet instead…

I just hope if they do Elias that there’s not a big discrepancy in quality from the HT Platoon figures and what will be released now

I was looking into what extra bits I would need to find, to make a "beach scene" Willard. So far, I have come up with:

Sling for the M16A1
M1911A1 and black holster
Black neckerchief
Watch with black strap
Compass pouch
Rolled up poncho + straps
Sticking plaster

...and if I'm being a complete stitch-nazi: 30-round "curved" magazine(s).

I finally have a Willard figure to go with Kurtz, Kilgore and Photojournalist.

I replaced the body, added his sidearm, plus a rolled poncho and dyed the neckerchief and painted the watchstrap black. Needs weathering next. Might even add a tiny band aid.
The head isn't dead on, but is ok... and I am not aware of any young Martin Sheen sculpts out there.

I’m struggling with this figure and broadly, Ujindou’s offerings.

The straps and clips are markedly cheaper and more breakable than DiDs. I’ve worked through 2 MACVSOG and this LRRP and the quality isn’t there. I assembled both DiD Moore’s perfectly in a matter of minutes.
