Some of the green looks a bit vibrant there, but very nice overall.

I've got a bit sick of Ujindou, or maybe just sick of their Germans.

Wish we could get more from other nations. Some of their best looking figures have been the British SAS and Commandos.

Couldn't bring myself to pre-order DID's latest Flammenwerfer soldier, as apart from the flame thrower it feels like more repetition.

My WWII pre-orders have dwindled. I have more faith in Facepool, and am still looking forward to their Kampfgruppe Hansen pair, and pair of Jojo Rabbits because that was such a good film.

I went for Alert Line's Nachtjager because that's an unusual looking figure.

Max Wünsche is the only outstanding DID pre-order but I've lost a lot of interest in him, which will probably rally when he arrives.

Facepool's USMC Eugene Sledge should be a good one.

But Ujindou isn't grabbing me at the moment. In fact looking at my list of figures, there isn't a single German that's outstanding. Some are particularly less than outstanding.

And why a photo of a W-SS dude?

This one?

The one in the close-up of the shovel, is it the same dude? Looks like one of those Battle of the Bulge photos.

Oh, the vintage WWII Polaroids!

Looks like Waffen-SS. Don't know why they picked that one out to illustrate the shovel.

Yeah I've slowed down and stopped buying these generic types of sets. I think this one is pretty but, I just want Military movie figures or what Facepool has been doing with newsreels/real pictures for a figure.

I've generally been happier with DID and Facepool than Ujindou. It's not easy to pinpoint or put into words why, but they feel more complete or finished. Ujindou do often get the colours of uniforms and camouflage wrong, and their sculpts are noticeably too small.

Unless DID wow me with something unusual in their WWII series, it's their American Civil War figures that I'm more looking forward to.
