im sure this will still go thru some more tweaks once final painting on the whole thing is done, but right now fairly pleased. may dust it with some pastels later.

So cool and the spray job just brings the entire backdoor together. Just brilliant man!!! The thing I love about builds is the way in which folks use found objects.

Hope you have a grand weekend of beers, bicycles and laaadies

:clap

Your back door looks amazing!

Err, wait, that's not what I meant...

No seriously, it does! Can't wait to see the whole thing put together, should be totally awesome!

Wow! Amazing job so far on the your 1/6th troop transport. :clap This was one of my favorite SW toy vehicles when I was a kid. Luckily I still have it.

I don't know what to else to say but, :censored thats awesome!

If your looking to have it talk like the original, I have a busted up kenner one buried away in a box that I could dig out and see if the sound works on it, the electronics could probably be added in easy, and it could be easily made to run off a single AAA battery or something smaller I am sure. Its not really doing me any good, its just in a box of busted up Star Wars stuff I never tried to sell with with the rest of my 3 3/4" collection, but can't get myself to toss out.

thanks bill & that would be awesome if you could do that. let me know....:wave

Looks great painted up... I don't have a transport handy to compare, but the back part looks killer :rock

thanks j...........i have the guns & radar painted up as well & will post pics pretty soon. hoping to get the rest of what i have right now primered by the weekend.

thanks bill & that would be awesome if you could do that. let me know....:wave

Well I dug it out this mourning and I got good news and bad news.:lol

The bad news is, it turns out the one I have was the much later Sears version called the Imperial Cruiser they released for ESB, as opposed to the original Imperial Troop Transport. Well Sears dropped the electronics to make it much cheaper. It was just one of those things I picked up at a local 2nd hand store loose for $1 or 2, even when they usually far from complete, just to eventually pop on eBay after digging through the parts bins in the basement of a local shop to add some bits back cheap.

The good new is its apparently fairly rare compared to the original one.

Now the rest of the bad news for me is, like I said before there's not much left of the thing, as a matter of fact, not only does it not have any stickers left on it, the only way it could be any farther from complete was if I actually broke the main body in two, and lost half of it. :rotfl

Anyhow, I had to look the damn thing up when i dug it out because it confused the hell out of me, it didn't have the red buttons, just fake black buttons that didn't do any thing and a battery compartment on the roof but no battery connections inside. I guess you learn something new every day, today I learned that Kenner made a hell of a lot of Star wars crap I never knew about. :)

Here's a comparison picture I found

Well I suppose I also learned Sears did more than just release cardboard play sets with a few figures.

oh well...........thanks for looking though bill. i will have to come up with something else unless i can find another one like mine for cheap.
