1:9 Scale - The Sweet Spot Between 1:12 & 1:6

Picked up NECAs 1:9 Captain Blake to go with Stevie Wayne. Those eyes are amazing. Really smart to go with the light up feature. Also, was super excited to give Blake the gold cross that came with Stevie!

Those Medicom figures were pretty cool...managed to grab a couple at SDCC, years ago, in the late 90's..Also nabbed some Hyper Hero and have them in my Popy/Mego Ultraman display

too bad hyper heroes armor sucks they become sticky and discolored.

The Faker and Kamen figures seem to be holding up okay...took them out of their packages two years ago.

i dont know about the inner suit but shadownmoon has turned sticky esp head on the feet and hands his armor also had fade spots.

in the end i discarded the whole thing (someone put him back standing while i laid him flat for repairs and he fell and broke a shoulder, couldnt find the missing pieces until much later where i already tossed him). though i had a full metal skeleton from the mazinger (which also turned sticky and discarded coz a missing arm), i did not replace the body because the armor already sticky. might as well use it on other riders when i need to work on them. my fav is the black/gold kabuto. i have old rider, new 1 2 and X followed by a few shockers. The Black RX is ok it seems.

cant put them back in box without disassembling them. i also have Shin from FONS but he came with plastic outfits.

Been a minute posting on the 1:9 Scale thread. Really fortunate NECA made the Dr Challis figure available for a limited time. I was able to pick that up & I love the included signature! More recently just picked up the Charred Chucky that was an exclusive with Scream Factory. Great fig!

Heads up to anyone collecting the NECA 1:9 Retro figs! They just announced a NECA Store Exclusive John Carver figure from the new Eli Roth Thanksgiving slasher flick! Looks pretty cool, simple but effective Preorders are open now. I had to get one

Had some time to do a bit of Toy Photography so I pulled out the Interrogation Scene 1:9 Joker figure from Beast Kingdom. Really would love to see them flesh out the Nolan character even more, but we will see. Also just picked up both NECA’s Quint & Hooper for cheap on EBay ($30 + shipping for both included) ! That’s a good haul for the week.

So this is really cool! I had seen pre production pics of this figure but now that it’s up for preorder I have to post it here because they made it in an 8” scale! So this would be an excellent limited articulated 1:9 figure for any collector looking to fill out their display a bit!

Do any of you remember Takara's Shonen Cyborg line? Deny's fisher released them as Cyborg, Android and Muton. I recreated a couple using the Super Joe Unlimited clear figures, and some parts from the vintage line. There may be an official release some time in the future.
