According to the Sideshow PODCAST, they (SIDESHOW) have already made and submitted to Daniel Craig a figure of himself as Bond. Apparently, he didn't like it so much. :monkey2 So back to the clay for the sculptors. I have a feeling we will see a Carig Bond eventually, and I will be one of the first to order it.:chew I can wait patiently for this...cuz i'll have to.

You see, Craig is just as anal retentive about Sideshow figures as the rest of us. He's not gonna settle for a second-rate paint job and a lanky Buck body either! :lol

At least Sideshow mentioned the doll. That gives me hope we will see it sooner rather than later. Any news means that Sideshow still has hopes for the line.

I'm definitely looking forward to a Craig Bond. It'll be the first Bond I get and depending on what he's wearing a looking for a similar dressed Brosnan and Connery....

That confirms what many of us suspected. If that prototype we saw was indeed the Sideshow piece, I don't know what his problem was because it looked just like him.

The problem was that the head wasn't big enough. :lol

yeah, it really was a great likeness. hell if all 1/6 sculpts could be that close i'd be estatic.

Check this out, could this have been referring to the sideshow Craig figure?

From Toynewsi.com Sept. last year

"Hollywood actor DANIEL CRAIG is unimpressed with a new JAMES BOND toy doll, claiming his likeness is too moody.

The blonde actor has been recreated as an action figure, which is set to be released with new Bond film CASINO ROYALE.

And Craig is not satisfied with the expression on the action figure's face.

He says, "He scowls a lot. He may need to soften up a little bit."

Interesting huh :)

Atleast it's coming... sometime. I thought the sculpt was pretty good, but I did see certain things people were talking about.

For people that havent seen it:

You know honestly, if that was sideshows sculpt, I think that is one of their best if not their best 12" sculpt ever. At least from that picture it is.

From what I hear, Craig is becomming difficult and demanding. He wants to call the shots on the next Bond and he's already being picky about his action figure. I don't expect that Craig will be Bond for very much longer. EON will cite "Creative Differences" and Craig will say that he has done everything he can with the character and wants to move on to more serious dramatic roles. They dumped Lazenby after one picture for that crap. I give Craig 2, maybe 3 at most. I only hope the next Bond will be Gerard Butler or James Purefoy.

I hope that is not the SIDESHOW sculpt, that is horrible and boring, the outfit is lame. No wonder he killed it (if it is Sidehsow).

Your right man, I was just reading about Craig and his demands. Here are some links to some of them, one request is quite awkward:

If Craig is gonna be this demanding, I'd rather have a new bond, as much as I liked him as bond.....I'd rather see Gerard Butler or even the man who was suppose to be the new bond But turned it down Mr. Obi wan himself, Ewan McGregor....

I wanted Ewan so bad even when Brosnan had the role but how cool would it be if King Leonidas or Mark Antony were the next Bond? I'd be totally stoked for Bond again.

That's what E.T. would look like if he were human!

Sorry... that does not look like Daniel Craig to me, and certainly not the version we saw in Casino Royale.
