My search skill are severely lacking today for some reason. I'm trying to find if there is any difference between the red backing and the blue backing 12" Tennant Doctor.

I know somebody posted a review of the figure to this board at some point, but I can't seem to find it. Anybody have any links? Or just want to throw some quick opinions in this thread?

No they're exactly the same figure wise.

I was confused by that as well at first.

If you do get the figure, you'll want to switch out to a different body. Dragon seems the best but the one the figure comes with is severely limited in the elbow region for one.

Anyone know when the Doctor in his Blue Suit (from season 2) 12" will be released? Also, anyone know where to buy a decent 1/6 scale trenchcoat for him (was a crime not to include one in the first place).

I have the Satan Pit Environment Suit 12" Doctor and it's a great figure (and only cost me 28 dollars shipped). Not sure if I am going to pick up Martha ... but would buy a Rose in a second.

I believe the backing simply indicates whether it was part of the initial release or the followup re-release. It's the same figure.

I haven't felt these were "keeper" boxes. Not sturdy enough for storage and not collector friendly to open.

Thanks for the info, guys. I just ordered one. I have some extra bodies laying around, but no dragon. I'll order a dragon body from ebay or something if nothing I have works well.

Also, anyone know where to buy a decent 1/6 scale trenchcoat for him (was a crime not to include one in the first place).

I'm looking for this info as well.

I've looked high and low and found no suitable trench coat for him. May be better off making one yourself.

I have seen a Connor McLeod trench coat for sale at Toy Anxiety. If you dyed it, would that work?

Im not sure. The one the Doctor wears comes down to about his ankles and looks leather-ish. Of course.. Im ****retentive about details like that, especially with Doctor Who.

I've seen dozens of different coats for sale in the past few weeks. I'm going to have to agree with pixel, Conners is the closest one i can find at the moment, though I've seen some Nazi ones by dragon ( i think) on e-bay that might work.

How hard is the figures head to move to a dragon body, I wanted to ask? I'm debating picking one up, but Even i the pictures, he looks a little stiff.

I got my Doctor the other today and I must say I'm extremely happy with it. Easily the best figure I've bought for under $45 (retail).

I'll definitely be switching bodies at some point, but I'm in no hurry. I'm not going to try to pop the head off until the time comes, so I cannot answer your question, lerath666, but I'm sure somebody here can.

I haven't done this yet either, but I recall that it is glued on and real tough to work loose. One reason I've put off doing the body swap.

Check FiguremasterLes' custom thread. His had an amazing trenchcoat someone made for him, and of course a terrific repaint. Les may have been the one who posted about the head being hard to remove.

Well I did remove the head on mine and it was very very hard. It is glued firmly down and takes quite a bit of work to get off.
