They do look nice but for the price I'll stick with the old $29.99 Triarama for generic adventuring.

well if they made more than 23 of them I think we'll see them on their site for a while

Yep, these are about $50 more then I was willing to spend, nice idea SS but to high on the price point. I'm guessing these won't be selling out to fast.

$89.99 = :lol and

Sideshow, get over your damn polystone fetish. That is a ridiculous price for 1:6 bases of this size... especially in this economy.

Enviros are cool and i like that Sideshow is thinking outside the box here, but when the enviro costs as much, or more, than the figure its just not practical.

If I have a choice between a generic none scene specific enviro or another figure I am gonna choose the figure every time.

Maybe a different material can be used to get these down around $50-$60 :dunno

Freddy's Furnace cost $40, the same as the original Freddy. I see no reason to get our panties in a bunch now. And Freddy's furnace wans't polystone. It was polyFOAM. Yeah we weren't happy with the price of Freddy's furnace then, but it seems like a steal now. But price wise it was the same as the figure, which is consitant with the price of figures now. These are $90 and so is Henry Jones Sr.

True, but the figures of today are much improved over Freddy.

These enviros are not anything more than the furnace was, meaning not a vast improvement like current figures are comparative to Freddy, and made with a cheaper material could cost less.

Just sayin.

Oh, I don't disagree with anything you said, I'm just saying from Sideshow's perspective the price isn't all that unreasonable in comparison. Sure Freddy's furnace probably had a licenesing fee along with it, but it was made out of a cheaper material so I guess that is how Sideshow is justifying the same price as 12" figures thing. $60 or even $70 would have been more reasonable. At $90 they should come with some accessories to enhance the display. Torches, treasure, skulls, rats, bugs, snakes, etc etc.

Sideshow has a caca perspective than :lol

Anywho...they do look great, just not enough bang for the buck.

These most certainly could have been offered for half the price were they not polystone.

And the real bear of it is... they'd pretty much LOOK the same!

Again, Sideshow just has some kind of hard-on for the material. It's great for statues, but absolutely not necessary for everything.

The $90 price tag isnt really the issue for me I guess, its just that theres not enough there for $90. Really, by todays pricing standards $90 isnt that much.

But they seem kinda bland and lacking any 'wow' factor. Need a little more to apend $90 on something, but thats just me.

Oh well, I spoke my mind on it. Time to move on :wave

They appeared to be simple pieces that would, in turn, be affordable add ons for displaying figures. Instead they cost as much as a 12" SSc figure... for 90 bucks I would want something a little more specific to certain characters.

I was also surprised that they chose polystone vs. rotocast. Seems like it would've been a no-brainer. Shipping on roto would've made the cost cheaper as well as shipping, for both them and us and the quality wouldn't look any different really. They'd also be more durable. Oh well, at the price they're charging, it's dio or figure and figure wins every time. :lol
